McDonald's Jalapeno Double Cheeseburger is some good. I've eaten almost a dozen since they started.
Sometimes I ask for light on jalape?os (default is 9-13) and extra onion strings
Is that their competition for the Angry Whopper?

I had poutine back in August in Vancouver for the first time. It was absolutely amazing, but it was a higher end place. I wonder how it compares to more of a fast food experience.

I think I may try to make some poutine today. I doubt I'll be able to find cheese curd though, so is there anything I can replace that with?
Lots of places just use mozza. Not the same though.

Yeah, any mild, white cheese will be similar(but not the same), mozzarella or even monterey jack

You can actually make your own cheese curds but it is a bit of a project. I actually got some calcium chloride and rennet in the mail today so I will be attempting cheese curds in the next week or two.

I've made mozzarella a few times, but it's really hit or miss on the milk I can get. I need a farm-fresh hook up.

C'mon...I would say they look probably 1/10th that good. Just 1/10th.

Mission accomplished. Lesson learned: KFC is not perfect, and if you don't specify that you want a reasonable amount of gravy they'll give you a small. Seriously. Why does a "small gravy" even exist on their menu?

Angry Whoppers being a 9 out of 10 on the 'temporarily available fast food items', I'd give the Jalapeno McDoubles an 8 or 8.5. You can get two Jalapeno McDoubles per one Angry Whopper though.

Also saw a dude on Xbox Live named Two McDoubles. I will respect him until the day I die.

Bought a box of 10 ttwinkies to put in my desk at work. Arrived at work an hour later sans 10 twinkies. Felt like a horrible human. Had massive diarrhea

Chysamere did you try one?
Yeah I tried both of them. They were ok, but the Burger King had lines out the door so I don't think the meat was cooked properly on it

It has a little bit of an odd taste, but they aren't bad. The one with lettuce and tomato was way better.

If they cook it the same as in the states it should have been cooked properly. Here we put the burgers on a conveyor that goes through a grill/broiler and comes out cooked. You physically cannot cook it any less.

It is possible, if you overload those things it can lead to undercooked foods, just like any other cooking vector.

The Undead Hasselhoff burger brought to you by Zombie Burger in De Moines, Iowa might have just trumped all else as the state's number one tourist attraction. Sadly, though, the burger monstrosity isn't formed using ground locks of the Hoff's feathered coif. Instead, it is a concoction made of pretzel-breaded brat, spicy mustard, cheddar, pretzel, and succulent beer cheez whiz, just the way God The Hoff intended. Probably.

Has anyone else seen/tried those F'real milkshake vending machines? In the last few weeks every Royal Farms in my area has gotten one, and I finally gave one a try tonight. I have to say, I was pretty pleased with it. While it's not as good as a Chik-fil-a or some other fast food milkshakes, it has some advantages over those: 1) a lot more flavors to choose from and 2) I like the ability to choose how thick you want it, since most fast food shakes tend to be quite thin and I like really thick milkshakes.

I can't speak for the machines but since you mentioned chick fil a I felt an obligation to say how great their shakes are. Last summer I think they had a peach limited time one. Fucking out of this world. Used to buy one, drink half, fill it back up with vodka, and hit the pool. Also works with Arby's jamocha shake.
