Hard to argue with that list. I'm sure there will be a few surprises this year with Ultra being brand new. And really hoping we get at least one 'Merican in Top 8. K-Brad would be my pick, but he seems to have some stamina issues based on the last few tournaments Ive seen him play in. Starts yawning and gets bored.

Smug is definitely a dark horse though, I really think someone is going to surprise us this year.

Smug is definitely a dark horse though, I really think someone is going to surprise us this year.

He played really well against the Asian players at CEO. He definitely can sneak into the top 8.

Asian players were saying that they have never seen a Dudley like Smug's and that they had no idea what to do. So, if they haven't been studying the matchup, you can expect some upsets.

I will be rooting for Infiltration, he has been looking really solid lately.

That's exactly what I was thinking too. I also don't think Champ will get out of Top 32 if he makes it that far. Still think K-Brad is the best chance for USA, but an all "East" Top 8 won't surprise me in the least. But every year there are those "Evo moments" and someone may surprise us. Mike Ross did it years ago making Top 8 (he wont even make 32 until he stops playing Gimp ass Honda). Poongko just absolutely bodying Daigo a couple years ago. Latif performance (last year?), etc... Always great moments.

Who knows how hard some of them have been working at it too. I honestly dont remember last year but they kept saying during CEO a lot of the US players are playing toons they normally wouldnt or saving some strategy for EVO.

I honestly think the only person that will have a chance is PR Balrog in the US, and maaaybe if Latif comes back which he has been rumoured to be doing. I don't see kbrad making it to top 8, let alone top 16

I'm definitely not predicting it. He's just my longshot for any American to make Top 8. I honestly really don't think any will. The list you (or someone) posted earlier is spot on. And the next 4 after that I would pick are still Japanese players. :/

Supposedly Smug is going to be at WNF tonight. I don't know how true that is but he is going to Evo so it's possible I guess. Too bad I have to work tomorrow.
