We are a shared brain right now, I just did that. blew about 1200pp in the bazaar on huge gear upgrades then got headshot and just ran through live side, training, bow kills, 30 at a time, all the way to the king. I could probably go to the hole and kill Yael or whomever is needed to do the alt Kunark unlock but I couldnt sneak through the hole into the Hole and didnt feel like fucking around for a key.

If this was a DBG/SOE server the POP pets would be better. With this server? We will see. Epic is an absolute monster in Velks. Got both the MAG and BST pet flurry AAs capped, and if they are additive it should be 106% chance to flurry. And yes, it is a lot. That put me at 276AAs, so now I am getting to 56 so I can go AFK in DN until I get all my AAs done.
The new autosell bags are genius. DBG should 100% steal that idea.

Flurry cap for this server was lowered to something like 75% at the start of PoP along with other changes, but I don't think any others involved waisted AA points by spending over cap. Up until that point, Mag/Bst made it easy to get 100% flurry.
As for PoP pets, when I stopped playing a month or so ago, the mage epic was still better than the PoP pets according to the Disco autists.

A couple of things related to the last few posts:
The mage epic pet is still the best pet at 65. Apparently it continues to scale with level and remains the best pet. A questionable design decision, in my opinion, to make all other pets obsolete through multiple expansions but the devs love their mage epic pet.
Remember that mob con is totally disproportionate when it comes to xping. If you aren't killing reds, you are doing it wrong. It is why everyone locks at 56 to kill reds in DN instead of leveling at any level after that. Of course the artificially low HP and damage due to them making all the mobs in DN 60 without changing any other stats for some reason also helps. The only exception is maybe if you can clear PoFire in one pull.
If you are taking part in the Easter event and leveling eggs, transfer them to a level 1, get some buffs and damage shield and train through the Warrens. You can take 4 or 5 eggs from basic to legendary in one clear, which is 5 minutes because you guessed it, a level 5 mob red to a level 1 is better than killing even cons mobs at 65 in the planes.

the main benefits pet cucks have is an easy start and simple mechanics
any combo with BRD in it is fast at farming AA
for really though stuff, mag/dru/ench is above any other combo

how to get a stupid amount of AA / nadox augs / eggs / item xp:
1) have a bard, be level 52, have shield of notes + nillipus' march of the wee and DDD
2) equip songblade, edge of eternity, and lute of flowing waters, pref all legendary
3) make nadox instance
4) start & finish your kite near hates' fury zoneline, the rune songs should make you 100% immune to damage if you have the items mentioned (kite the entire western side of the zone, all of it)
5) after you finish kite, zone into hate's fury, this will zone you out of the expedition zone
6) zone back into nadox, which gives you a fully popped live zone
7) kite everything down, baz gate, and port back to the entrance of your instance
this lets you kill 480 mobs an hour (4 respawns at under 30 mins each, 120 mobs / kite)
manastone can help with manaregen, with the shield songs and clicky from lute you'll always be regaining health, and the shield songs reduce the damage you take from manastone as a nice bonus

Or you could just park your pet cuck or any character with mage pet in DN blob area, where there is 4 blobs spawning, overnight or all day, whatever, I did the 24/7 thing. I did 3 characters like this last exp bonus, the one before POP release, and it took about 4 days ea to get 2200AA plus all their gear leveled. The nadox augs are kinda useless these days because with POP gear its trivial to get 750SD. With Lucy or Veli gear it was not so you had to augment with the nadox augs to get to 750SD.
So why do all that work if you could just park your shit and walk away and do other shit. IDK, thats just me. FYI all characters get one free class change off the bat. So roll whatever the fuck you want just make sure mage is one of them to be switched out later for your real combo. Your first AA should always be mage pet shit and CA/CS. They refund all those AA now when you switch classes so you can use them for your new combo when you switch. You can even use the same pet focus items and same pet items in the bag since you dont have to bind them. It does not take BIS pet gear to kill DN shit. Just make sure the weapons is good and has heal augs on it and high AC shit for the rest.

They need to just allow for an /exp command or something that puts you in "AFK" mode and just slowly gives you passive AA/item exp at like 50% of the rate of afking at DN blobs. It's totally retarded that one combo gets to take massive advantage of passive EXP while everybody else has to farm mobs until their eyes bleed for AAs/item exp.

Or just do what I did and simply quit. Its the only way they will change shit is if the population drops. Until they change the way items are leveled up, im done. Because you do all that work, and yeah its fucking work for anyone other than pet classes, just to do it all over again when the next expansion drops? No thanks.

you can just take any pet class, level it to 8, enjoy the PoTime focus turning your level 8 pet into a level 60ish monster, and afk xp all you want
you can roll out of that class for free when your goals are achieved

I haven’t played in 5-6 weeks now.
I knew unfortunately it was just too boring of a grind. Even with a pet class that can AFK it gets tedious to deal with setting it up every night, making sure you reconnect it if the server goes down, etc.

LOL I used my free class changes to change out of the mage. I dont need anymore AA, most of my guys have 3K AA and 2 of them have 4.5KAA. Its all about ITEM leveling to legendary and im not about to pay them more money to switch back to mage to do that and then pay again to switch back to their main class I dropped for the mage.
So until they fix item leveling so its not 730 PoF mobs to level one item to lego, im done. And they wont. So I had my fun with this server.

Yeah, I haven't played in 2-3 weeks either. I think I've done one 4/4 Seru in that time?
Either way, for such a casual/Dad server, they still try to cling to "grinds" for the weirdest shit. And only certain classes have to adhere to it. So they are caught in this weird situation where they still have "hardcore" or "old school" systems, but they only force its application to certain classes. And I know I've bitched about it plenty, but it ALL stems from their absolutelyfuckingretarded stance on tying EVERYTHING to mob con/level.

There is also other problems this server has. Like all content other than the current end game being utterly worthless for items and gear. Its BIS or utterly worthless. Might as well vendor the rest of it. So every expansion youre all funneled to like one end game zone and maybe the 2 man encounter to farm. Pretty fucking boring if you ask me.

There are a ton of problems with the server and it appears it is only going to get worse as it seems like they are pushing grouping with the upcoming dungeon finder system. Wait until people are encouraged/forced to group with the current class imbalances.
Anyway, if you are afk AA exping, get yourself a couple of hundred AA's and then do a reset. Spend some of your required AA's but leave over 100 banked. The AA cap only applies when you hit 100 so if you have more than 100 banked you continue to gain AA's. I had a couple of thousand banked at one point. I'll admit I haven't done it on a while and it might have been fixed, but it worked it a while ago.
