Just realized that TLOU2/season 2 sort of follows the structure of LOTR. A powerful fellowship is going to be formed to go on an expedition, but it doesn't work out and instead of a fellowship, two of them end up having to make the rest of the journey without help, through all sorts of treacherous terrain.
Except instead of Sam and Frodo, it's an attractive Latina... and Gollum

Yeah looking at that screencap makes me laugh, too. Ignoring the whole where did these bitches get eyeliner and lipstick in the post apocalyptic trope (the games got this right, but most shows hand wave it), check out the jacket on her box munching pal. New off the rack, not a hint of grime or wear, with a zipper in mint condition. Ok I guess if the communists have makeup, then they probably have modern laundry facilities too. I can accept that accommodation in the show because, lets face it, Ramsey without any makeup is going to look like fucking Boo from the Mario games on screen. But if you are out in the world trying not to be spotted by raiders, runners, cannibals and so on are you really going to wear a bright florescent rainbow jacket (real subtle there Druckman) without doing something to cover that up so you don't get spotted? Not when there is a message to be pushed I guess. And if I recall correctly Ellies box eater bae in the second game was supposed to be Jewish in the game which is why she was ugged up a bit and had the big honking schnoz, while the actress here apparently got a nose job somewhere out in the wasteland.
They actually made every aspect of that awful second game worse in the show, either through intentional virtue signaling or simple low effort lack of attention to detail. Not that this wasn't the case in the first season sometimes (gay Ron's big gay house looked like he had an army of mexicans cleaning it for him, the commune buildings looked like all the lumber was bought right off the shelves of home depot, ect) but a lot of the set pieces were accurate to the game as well as being realistic for a 20 year after scenario. The shots I have seen of this season basically show that they stopped giving a fuck. But maybe someone who slogged through the second game can chime in about whether or not the second game was like that as well or not?

This isn't a show im super invested in but I'm also not offended by anything I'm seeing.
Also people on FoH complain about everything so it's not really surprising. You could say you like how blue the sky is today and certain people would call you a dumbass and start going off the rails about how liberals ruined the sky.

Yeah every TV thread is like this with a couple of exceptions. When it comes down to it I'm no better complaining about the complaining and I should just stop reading these threads since it seems like people are doing what they want to do but I keep thinking it could be different.

The hate is deserved, this forum loved Rick and Morty until season 4 then it got hated on like a lot of other shows. There is a couple trolls but us talking shit about shows it's typically justified. It's not like FoH were the only ones that hated the later seasons of GoT
