Aside from the guitar playing, which we skipped past, season 2 was pretty solid. Never played the games but kinda looking forward to Abby's POV. :emoji_thumbsup:

I think it will be a long time coming for Season 3. All of the drama around Bella Ramsey, along with how bad Season 2 was, leads me to think that Season 3 might even just get cancelled, despite HBO approving the season. HBO gave the go ahead for Season 3 before Season 2 came out. This is why I get the feeling that Season 3 might just not even happen.

In an interview with Variety, HBO boss Casey Bloys addressed the future of The Last of Us, which has undergone some creative shake-ups in recent weeks – as well as nailing down a release window for The Last of Us season 3.

"The series is definitely planned for 2027. Craig is still working it out whether it will be two more seasons or one more long season," Bloys said. "It hasn’t been decided yet, and I’m following Craig’s lead on that."


i'm actually playing the game now and its a dumpster fire, not as bad as the show since the gameplay and stealth is pretty good but the story/characters are so, so bad. Its actually kind of fun playing as Abbie because I keep suiciding off cliffs and shit to kill her. Its crazy how much the game is so Ubisoft-y in how much time you just spend looking around rooms trying to collect shit, I feel like a post apocalyptic trash man or magpie collecting useless shit.

i actually played the game after just watching episode 2 and episode 7 and while i liked the setting and gameplay the story and characters are maybe worse than the show. maybe? they are both so, so, so bad and just reek of "THIS IS ART YOU DON'T GET IT"

I played the 1st one like 3-4 times all the way through and loved it each time. The 2nd one was only good for a few hours of entertainment via angry youtube videos. I'm still pissed that they ruined a perfectly good original IP with a sad combination of woke crap and SUBVERTING EXPECTATIONS.

So it tracks that I loved most of S1 but didn't bother starting the 2nd.

I would recommend Episode 2 of the 2nd season. It was the only good episode of the season.

What did people like about S1? It was on rails so you never had control of your character and gunplay was shit. I barely got passed the intro and couldn't stand it.
