yeah, beau/marisha was even more insufferable then Keyleth. caleb/nott/fjord/jester were fine. Mollymauk was Taliesin being douche. cad is a million times better. revolving the campaign around molly was a bit lame.
ashley had no idea how to RP her own character.
aasimar barbarian worshiper of kord the stormlord, with the past history of "the orphanmaker" utterly incapable of aggression, or understanding what her characters chosen path is supposed to be. ok, so kord saved you, and you decided to follow him.. but didn't actually bother to look up what he stands for? and its not like she understood and was intentionally making a conflicted character, dealing with past trauma. That would presumably how they fix her int he tv show.
"I would like to rage, sir, perhaps maybe if thats alright with you?"

From what I watched of season 3 I rooted for Taliesin to die because he basically recreated the shitty Molly character again. I was also rooting for his character to die as well.

Not sure if I will ever start season 4 since splitting it up looks like it was so they could get their diversity quota in (add more Tailiesin faggotry).

ha. yeah. I was going to mention. s3 was Taliesin back to being an annoying douche.
I also never did finish that one.

Ashley however found her spirit animal with Fearne. exact opposite of the barbarian.

Yeah...I keep trying to finish Campaign 3, but it's so boring compared to C2. I'll try to give C4 a chance eventually, but I've tried other D&D shows...most people annoy me to the extent Taliesin does. I can handle watching him when there are 6 people that don't annoy me, but when they add other annoying people, it becomes too much. Brenden isn't bad...at least they didn't try to get that chick to DM again.

Really liking The Mighty Nein after 3 episodes, but I loved Campaign 2, so I'm biased a bit. The Beau stuff was always a bit weak, but the Caleb/Nott and Jester/Fjord dynamics have been great.
Yeah this series is where I first got interested in the show. So I'm looking forward to it. First couple episodes are good.

I've found this more 'ok' than 'great' in general, but I have to say the last episodes wizard fight was some damn fine wizard fighting.

I do enjoy both of these series, but I really wish they'd cut out the contemporary swearing.
The modern language and edge guts my enjoyment for something I would love to love.

Also, the 6th grade dick and buttsex jokes would be funny if they weren't in literally every episode, every season, in both series'.

I didn't hate the M9, but I didn't love it. It had some genuinely cool moments (I liked Nott a lot more than I expected because I despise Sam), but there were just as many cringe moments. I can't do anything but laugh at all the 'strong' female characters just wanting to be men and leaning heavily into the stereotypical characteristics that the dangerhairs consider to be "toxic masculinity." Self-awareness -100.

Overall --- 5.5/10.

Beau is easily a full point deduction. If not, more.

Did you watch/listen to the Critical Roll YouTube show? I thought they toned down a bunch of the rough edges of the shittiest characters (Beau and Molly). They were both 1000% worse when listening to Marsha say "dope monk shit" for the 10,000th time or basically anytime Taliesin talked while playing Molly.

While I don't mind Sam, he does do way too many low brow jokes for my taste as well. Nott is certainly better than the bard in Vox. I can't imagine what he was like in the live action Vox DnD game, if the cartoon is just taking the best bits.

I found The Mighty Nein to be far superior to Vox Machina, but I'm not sure if that's because I started listening to their stuff with the Mighty 9 or maybe because they are starting off weak at level 1, instead of just jumping into a half done campaign.

I agree completely with this. I also found The Mighty Nein far superior to Vox Machina. VM's nonstop push for homosexuality, constant poorly created jokes, and DEI was off the charts by S3. You had to dig through mountains of shit to just get to story and supposed character development.

M9 just had a really annoying character that was a lot like the same one in VM. Ehh, already dealing with that in VM so who cares? It can definitely get worse like VM shows but, for now, much better.

I was the complete opposite, but its been a bit since I watched VM. Watched M9 and felt like every single person in the story was either gay, lesbian or tranny. Felt like they turned it up to 11 with LGBTQ, but in VM I only remember Scanlon basically willing to fuck anyone.

Either way, looking forward to the day when AI can make shows like this based on actual campaigns, and then the AI machine that does it while you are playing
