This reminds me that I need to rewatch Misery one of these days. It has been probably 20 years since the last time, but I still say "She never got out of the cockadoodie car!" whenever I can fit it in.

Saw this tonight as part of AMC's Unseen program. Really enjoyed it. It will be hit or miss with people probably, and as a theater full of people who didn't know what they were about to watch, when the credits rolled and you saw Stephen King's name you could feel the collective 'oh, that makes sense'

Fantastic cast, fantastic performances, an interesting way to tell the quaint story of a man's life.

This movie got some deep feels going. Mike Flannigan knows how to write some serious dialog.

I recommend.

Really enjoyed it too. Big Mike Flanagan fan. Cool seeing him do something different.

Its probably the closest to source material of a King story ever too. It was all around excellent just not something I figured would be super popular here. My wife was expecting something scary which this isn't but liked it all the same. Im glad they just went for it for the dance scene and Hiddleston pulled it off lol.

Been a few days and this movie is still stuck in my head. Not sure why it failed to generate more buzz. I'd place it as top three of 2025.

It wasn't bad, different than the usual fare. Well acted. It took me a few scenes to recognize Hamill and I had to look at the cast to know it was Karen Gillan. Hiddleston is great. The redhead he danced with was a hottie.

A nice story about not letting fate get in the way of being your best self.

I walked away thinking it was all right but no where in the category of say Green Mile, Stand By Me, or Shawshank.
