They should drop all this nonsense and make a non-woke movie adaptation of Stephen King's Joyland.

Flew under the radar, we get a couple of Stephen King adaptions close together later this year

What are the other ones?
  • The Life of Chuck gets wide release June 13

  • The Long Walk releases September 12

  • The Running Man on November 7
I am quietly hoping they are all great adaptions, since each director has been carrying a torch for their movie (or so they say in interviews).

They can't possibly make a true adaptation of that story. It ends, well it ends like all Richard Bachman stories. I'll just say, don't get too invested in the characters.

A lot of his early work is great. DEI bullshit absent of course, Eyes of the Dragon would rock.

The young Stephen King that used to rip fat white rails while ranting about the gubment in his writings would have a hard time understanding how he came to suck so much establishment cock later in life.

Edit: Arbitrary Arbitrary beat me to the punch

As batshit liberal as he is, I can't not acknowledge the fact that he's a great author, but it seems like when he gave up the Coke and the booze, and then got run over by the van, he kind of became faggy. Not to say he didn't write some decent stuff after that but he just isn't the same. Some of my favorite books are works he's written.

He's got a terminal case of TDS, I don't know why because he lives down in Florida, I need to think he'd be happy there just living off of his millions and millions of dollars.

Because if he doesn’t all the things he’s done will be used against him probably

I still think he diddled his son and that's the reason Joe Hill turned out gay, or Owen or whatever his name is.

There is definitely a fan theory that the reason he hates Kubrick's The Shining is because he picked up on all the "Jack is sexually abusing Danny" subtext.

Sounds like "Speed" but at 4 mph instead of 50 mph

Such a generic way to arrange the trailer. I'd hoped we would get the opposite of this. The Long Walk is about to begin and it looks like the everyone turned out to watch the best parade in history. Bright colors, balloons, people cheering, etc. We see The Major and he welcomes everyone to this year's Long Walk. The prize? All of your wishes granted!

This has washed out colors, overused horror audio track, etc. It's just kinda bland.
