There are more movies on the lower range so it's skewed to the left, see how to the right of the peak it drops off very quickly while the left side has a much more gentle slope? Thats because more movies are ranked lower, fewer are ranked higher.

The overall graph is obviously shifted right a bit since the average is 6.4 or so and average should be around 5 if it were a perfectly normal distribution, but more are ranked lower and fewer are ranked higher which is why the statistics analysis says skewed left with a 6.41 mean.
More are ranked lower than the peak. (perhaps, it's really hard to tell the area under a curve with just my mark 1 calibrated eyeballs) But the average should be 5.5 (1+10)/2. So really, more are ranked higher than what you would expect.

I don't know if that's even an important distinction in statistics. I just noticed that the bottom is labeled "Weighted Average Rating". Whatever that weighting is probably explains the right shift.

They don't explain their weighting system in detail to prevent manipulation, but they basically say movies with few ratings will be held more near the middle, and the more votes it gets the less their "average" weighting applies. This prevents movies with 5 ratings all being 10 from being the highest rated movie (or lowest rated movie) in their system.

I think he's one of those incels that just shits on others opinions as he has none of his own. If he was more offensive I'd use the ignore function. I'd use the newly fixed search to see if I was right but honestly, I don't give enough of a fuck to care.

Now I am definitely going to watch this

On a cell phone but you can read what "weighted" means and there is a note any time they implement it ("unusual activity detected"), just look up the snow white remake and you'll see what I mean.
