Hark the Herald motherfuckers! Tumultuous Teutonic Templar Thrash!

Well, now I'm on a blackgaze/atmospheric kick, and this album is just too fucking good. If you're going to use a computer, put this shit on 720/1080 (actually does increase quality) and use headphones. Not a shredder's album, so if you're into that, don't bother. This is very depressing, black metal, but the atmosphere is just unbelievable. One of my favorite albums of 2011.

Nick fucking Menza 2013

A guy I went to highschool with turned me onto the Melvins the other day. Totally digging it.

The Melvins are a strange band... influenced some awesome bands like Neurosis, Mastodon, Isis, but also heavily influenced those insufferable cockfucks Nirvana. I can never forgive them for it!

If you like them you'll probably dig Sam Black Church. Not my thing at all, but they were big around here (Boston) when I was in college around '95-96, and I ended up seeing them live maybe half a dozen times. Great live band.

What an awesome week. Saw Katatonia and Opeth on Sunday and just got back from Decapitated. Both awesome shows.
