It's not metal but a real life Wyld Stallion plays bass. I actually like the groove this song has.

algo lead me to this band recently and I have really been digging them. Kind of somewhere between old school metal and late 90s 2000s nu metal without sounding/looking gimmicky. Just bros doing chuggudas

Megadeth lives in this weird space for me where they're good, but I don't ever need to hear any of their music again. Kinda the exact same space Metallica started like 20 years ago. Metallica was because they were so overplayed and over hyped and it just was exhausting. Legitimately have not clicked on any Metallica song or left the radio on in over 20 years.

With Megadeth it's mostly self inflicted. We listened to a shitload of that since Metallica was fuckin garbage, I never really got into Anthrax and I couldn't listen to Slayer 100% of the time (I sure fuckin tried though).

It's weirdly like the same thing with Chris Broderick - if you think about it, he was the best guitar player Megadeth ever had, and also the worst. Technically? Unbelievably flawless. Unreal how accurate that dude is, his playing is almost machine like. But that's also the reason you could make an argument he is the worst guitarist they ever had too - no feeling. Listening to him playing Marty's solos always leaves you feeling like you're missing... something.
