My band once tried to cover this sepultura song and while I can play it... It was impossible to get it tight. Such a crazy band in their heyday.

Even crazier when you realize the tools to manipulate music were much less back then - the bands of the 80s and 90s metal were absolutely savage and couldn't have possibly been anything else.



I discovered Slayer and Sepultura on the same day - one of those BMG "10 CDs for a penny" deals, changed my fucking life.

Yeah a lot of modern metal drives me nuts. Everything is unnaturally tight, even guitar tones. Everything is gated and quantized and sounds unnatural. That's why I like a band like revocation that plays real amps and sounds real

I dig their aesthetic, matches their sound well.

And in honour of my upcoming trip to Japan, have some Japanese power metal.. some old and then some new. Sadly Galneryus never got back to these highs after YamaB left.
