Asking him for a permanent ban bet based on guessing what the punishment would be is the stupidest fucking thing I've ever seen in this thread.

He brought up the ban bet because much like him I am certain there isn't going to be a suspension on Belicheat for an entire year however when he claimed there would be nothing more than a fine I decided a permanent ban bet against his stupid assertion of a mere fine. It is a safe bet something other than a fine being levied on the Patriots is coming, anyone who thinks otherwise I would make that bet against them. While forms of punishment are out of whack and completely fucking hit or miss and really confusing most of the time, this isn't one of those situations where a mere fine will do and move on.

I don't know, man. I could see this going down with absolutely nothing happening all the way to a major fine, draft picks, and suspensions. There's really no telling with the NFL.

People making the comparison are doing so in the sense that they are both things every team did and everyone within the league knew it was going on. I mean monetary incentive to hurt people? Every player out there has a monetary incentive to hurt people. How many times were players fined this season alone for intentionally trying to injure a player after a play was dead? I honestly don't know, but at least 3 that I know of. Not once in Greg Williams' entire tenure with the saints was a saints player caught maliciously trying to injure a player not in a live play. Now, what does that tell you about bountygate?
