No amount of Christopher Nolan being a good director is going to pull this film out of the shitter. This is going to bomb as bad as snow white.

Because you guys don’t understand capitalism: you target markets that studies show have increased earnings potential or may be a profitable audience for your product and hope it translates into profits
Do you mean to tell me, truthfully, that real studies (not ones propped up by DEI analysts) indicated that targeting less than 1% of the population (trannies) was a smart decision in terms of capitalism? That alienating the vast majority of the superhero audience by trying to make it about gurl power was the best move for capitalism? That making every family mixed race was the best way to make more money?

Or maybe, just maybe, they are worried about that stupid diversity quotient score thing (I can't remember the name, but it exists)? Fuck, we've already brought up the "can't win an Oscar without diversity" new rule in this very thread.

I'm sure you'll point to the part about trying to capture a new market and thus make more money, but would a real study actually show that pissing off white people to gain only a percentage of black money is a favorable trade-off? That pissing off "cis" people to gain the tiny amount of trans people (who don't buy the shit anyway) is a money-making idea?

This is literally the inverse of capitalism. If it were purely driven by capitalism, every piece of media would look vastly different. Unfortunately, soon that means it would be all Indians. But until then, it definitely wouldn't be all blacks and gays and trannies.
