Just got back from watching this. 3/10. None of the characters are likeable. It's just a negative movie about human inclinations, especially men, and that we're always doomed to repeat the selfish behaviors that topple empires from within. It was also so disjointed from the original source material that my biggest takeaway was this was a dogshit script. Too much was changed, either taken out, added in, or adapted. The only reason it's positive at all for me is it was a very scenic movie and it finished relatively strong. I will absolutely never watch this again though, it will be largely forgotten by the morning. The hype and praise for this movie is insane to me.

It had the bones of a good movie. Circe bit was fine. The Hades bit would have been fantastic without the little she-man's squeaky boy voice in it. Damon tried pretty hard it seemed, but he wasn't the man for the job.

Cyclops was retarded looking. Really retarded looking. I get that he probably was retarded, but that was the wrong angle.

Completely miscast. Not sure why they didn't fill it with greeks or greekalikes. Helen actress was so ugly that she pantsed the movie for a few minutes after her scenes. Those jogger memes were hugely on point.

Meh in the same way that Tenet was meh. One can skip this movie and miss nothing at all.
