If you're familiar with the YouTuber Ola Englund(how could you not be..), it's his company. What's the deal with the Solar seven strings? I see a lot of YouTube players using them.
Man it took me a good bit of time to finally find a tone on my Boss Katana that did the guitar justice.
I'm up to around 85% speed with decent enough accuracy at this point. I'm kinda shit at all the hammer-ons in the chorus, and there are a few transitions I find tricky but pretty pleased w/ the progress so far.Alright, time to level up my shitty skills and learn to play Hysteria.
7 strings easily go into the muddy territory. I usually use a boost not really so much for gain (a little maybe), but really to tighten the low end.Man it took me a good bit of time to finally find a tone on my Boss Katana that did the guitar justice.
I never knew how much of a pain getting that seventh string to sound good on an amp would be![]()
I mean I have the ability to play what in my mind sounds like a chainsaw tone.Anyone here play swedish death metal chainsaw tones?
I have a MIJ HM-2 I run into my orange thunderverb, but I’m thinking of picking up the KMA Wyrm2 and the Lichtlaerm Medusa. Not really sure if they’re big improvements on the HM-2 w/ a noise gate.
I feel that. I suspect also that I may be chasing the same issue I had with overdrives.I mean I have the ability to play what in my mind sounds like a chainsaw tone.
sounds more or less like you just like the HM-2 tone and want to expand on it. Id say go with the empress effects pedal in that case. Because all that pedal is is an HM-2 with more tonality control and more gain control. which isnt a bad thing. its a good thing to explore.
however you might just end up finding yourself happy with the HM-2 at the end of the day.
