I listened to this podcast today. At one point the podcast guest told an anecdote about Richard Feynman and said that Richard used to say about quantum physics, “Just shut up and calculate.” This is what string theory is, just shut up and calculate. When I have said that the true cover up is actually the fundamental nature of reality I think the implications of quantum physics is one of the main offenders. Just shut up and calculate and don’t take the implications of quantum physics to their logical conclusions.

I think this was the first video I saw of Hoffman where he explained his research. I've since seen him in several other big podcasts, e.g. Jordan Peterson.

I have no idea if he is on the right track but it is a pretty interesting discussion and I am seeing other academics make similar arguments.

The gist is that our senses have evolved not to accurately perceive reality but only to keep us alive long enough to reproduce. He makes mathematical arguments. It seems to me that it could have overlap in lots of areas like Simulation Theory, Quantum Mechanics, Consciousness, Hologram Theory, etc.

Funny. Apostatebro, I agree some of this has some woo and that is where he loses me, but I like the math and science parts. I don't think that is the same riding a trebuchet arc off the reservation but I'll give you a point for effort.

For example, Youtube suggested this last night and I thought it might align with the above, which I guess it does in some ways, but it strikes me as 100% woo. It's a little depressing because is an actual PhD physicist and he sounds like a moronic grifter.

I haven’t listened to much of Hoffman but I did start the videos you linked. I am more familiar with Tom Campbell. Does Hoffman talk much about NHI? If not, that appears to be a big difference between the two. This whole phenomenon and reality itself is some strange intersection between consciousness(NHI included) and quantum science. There’s multiple layers to it and I like to speculate on the purpose behind it all.

I’ve linked this before but I really can’t recommend this video enough for someone interested into getting into holographic universe theory. It does an amazing job explaining how the double slit experiment pretty much proves we live in a holographic universe.
