I never saw the movie. I used to watch the show all the time and I guess back in middle school and high school, Fox used to play an hour of The Simpsons I think starting at 5:00. I'd my VHS tapes ready to record both episodes daily, and I'm recording the new episode on Sunday. I think I had pretty much the first eight seasons or so on tape.

Had another friend who did the same damn thing. The show used to be glorious, but I kind of stopped watching when I went to college. I remember checking back in with it at some point and it was just dumb. Is it even still on the air?

Actually I thought the movie was surprisingly good considering how long the show had been terrible at that point. Cannot imagine a movie coming out now being any good though.

It's crazy to think that this was my favorite show for like 10 years and then I stopped watching and 25 years later it's still on.

The odd thing is who even watches this still? I never hear coworkers talk about it and the only time I see it referenced online is people wondering how the hell it's still on.
