I never saw the movie. I used to watch the show all the time and I guess back in middle school and high school, Fox used to play an hour of The Simpsons I think starting at 5:00. I'd my VHS tapes ready to record both episodes daily, and I'm recording the new episode on Sunday. I think I had pretty much the first eight seasons or so on tape.
Had another friend who did the same damn thing. The show used to be glorious, but I kind of stopped watching when I went to college. I remember checking back in with it at some point and it was just dumb. Is it even still on the air?

The odd thing is who even watches this still? I never hear coworkers talk about it and the only time I see it referenced online is people wondering how the hell it's still on.

First movie had the original writers which is why it was noticeably better than the show at that point.

If I'm not mistaken, the 1st one came out about the same time as the Simpsons game for PS3. It was actually a decent game. Not amazing, but lots of Simpsons nostalgia.
