Will you hurry up and go get in a fatal car crash so we don't have to hear your stupid pontificating about how being required to wear a seatbelt is the man keeping you down?

Just make sure it's a one-car crash and you're the only one in the car not wearing a seatbelt.

Ohh thank god, was hoping something could replace POV porn!
It is part of their job (they have elected to be there, cleaning up the mess), the positives must out weigh the negatives, otherwise they would get a new one, be a bum, live on the street, or do what ever else because they are so scarred. Not infringing on other peoples rights (personal liberties), is not the same as, not making other people upset.

My uncle quit being a paramedic for this exact reason. Personally, I wear my seat belt 100% of the time. It saved me much greater injury when I wrecked my last car (it didn't have an airbag).
And the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Ignoring all the arguments of freedom and choice, the very fact click it or ticket exists when motorcycles are fine and dandy to ride on the road combined with half the states not requiring helmets just shows how stupid our electorate and elected officials are.

Said no one ever.
Seen several of them. Learning is never bad. No matter if they might be from other viewpoints or about issues you do not care about.

Video he linked back in FoH, about a woman with a phd (former whitehouse economic advisor, Jane or something) where she talked about "what is money" for 45 minutes is one of the most interesting videos I have seen on youtube.

I for one am glad he posts them. Cat videos are all fine, but if I ever do have an hour to waste, I at least know that a Grimsark video will make me think. Even if it can range from "wow did not know that" to "I do not agree with this" or "this seems like bs".

Pretty sure most will find this one fits in the "this seems like bs." category.

There are so many of these videos on YouTube this year, it makes you wonder. Is this a reflection of how people see their future? Psychologically it makes sense that when a population thinks their future is going to be worse than their past, that they tend to focus on negative outcomes (past, present, and future) that they would otherwise have just ignored, nor attempted to correlate with other world wide events.

Human paranoia and negativity are hardly a new occurrence. What is new, is the ease of access to the internet and the ability to make/post videos there. The amount of videos as a whole have been steadily increasing as the amount of users have been increasing. According to some recent studies, poverty and mental illness may be connected (Ill post the infographic in the FSR). The amount of people falling into poverty since 2005 is hardly breaking news.

Some people see Youtube as a way to make money, so unqualified, sometimes independent, "reporting" can have less than honorable intentions. Some of these video makers need to make videos on a consistent basis to keep subs or to increase their e-penis with hits, giving incentives to stretch their "research". This isn't contained to the net, opinion shows on the 24 hour news networks are in the same boat, accept they can occasionally get fired or sued if they dont have evidence to support their claims.
