so does the season wrap Geralt's story, do they introduce the whole wild hunt thing and the lore behind it, or is it just a series of DEI stories about powerful womyn fighting the patriarchy?
there is zero chance of a new season or anything like that, i literally haven't heard a single person talk about the show and I still don't really understand why they keep making witcher TV shit. must be some crazy tax breaks or something

Since most of y'all aren't watching it, I don't mind sharing a spoiler. "strong black female" gets beheaded by some old dude bounty hunter. That was about all I enjoyed of this season. Old man bounty hunter was the highlight and makes it almost worth watching.

The Bounty Hunter was the best part. The Witcher felt weak the entire season. Its like the script was written to make him weak, just to show how badass Henry Cavill was in the role. I love how the vampire pretty much had none of the negatives like Sun Light and having to drink blood. Why would I not be a vampire??? Oh yeah, he had to discipline himself first.
I am not sure why you would be interested in watching a movie that revolves around "The Rats" after you see what happens to them. I would much rather watch a movie around the bounty hunter. I was impressed with how Netflix had a white man saw the head off of a black woman. Did not expect that for the season. I am still waiting for the all powerful version of Ciri to come out where she bends time and space to her will. There were some decent fights but hopefully season 5 actually wraps everything up.

Jesus christ that ending exceeded all expectations. I slept through 3 or 4 episodes in the middle but I made sure I was awake for episode 8 and it really really really hit the mark. I honestly think the season had to have intentionally made you hate the Rats. Their deaths were so over the top gruesome and hilarious and the bad guy was such an over the top Snively Whiplash taunting them the whole time it was awesome. They'd have a slightly heroic moment then get eviscerated immediately afterwards. It was glorious and hilarious all at the same time. I don't think I've ever seen a season long payout That satisfying. This is like the anti game of thrones. Instead of a ridiculously stupid Arya Stark ending that made you want to throw a brick at your television, this ending left me in shock, awe, and delight!

They have the worst makeup crew on top of everything else
As I was watching the first episode of the latest season, I realized it seemed like almost every actor was an extra. Ciri, and the dwarves looked like main characters and the rest looked like extras that just showed up that day in their own ren fest costumes. I assume it's got something to do with makeup and costuming, but I don't know enough about that shit to say for sure.

They must have got them from some casting agency that was only hired because they have the right politics. No way this many street people with 0 acting skills got hired all at once otherwise.
It's not like Wheel of Time where they took real existing actors with a few credits and put them in main roles to fill the showrunner's ugly quota. Witcher has to be using people with no credits besides "Extra" next to their name, and is giving them their first speaking role. There's just no other way to explain how terrible the acting is.
