You know, for the longest time I would get so irritated with movies focusing on Jack Ryan as main character. I'm used to him being the "intelligent side character in the room".

I haven't read Tom Clancy in quite some time....a LONG time and didn't know that eventually became not only the main character but the fucking spine of Clancy books.

Well at one point he even became the President so it doesn't get more main character than that.

Same. I liked the first 3 season of the Jack Ryan show. It was my introduction to tom Clancy. After I finished s3, I picked up his books and read all his 80’s and 90’s work.
Hopefully the movie will be good.

He was the main character in every book but THFRO, Without Remorse, and Rainbow Six.

As someone who enjoyed the TV show, I'm looking forward to this although I would have preferred another season rather than a movie.
