For the keyboard enthusiasts, yeah, it's porn. Finding localized keycaps for your language is a bitch (if you're not english, american or german). I sold those keycaps for almost 200$.

I tried to watch media via "legit" means today. I figured, I have Prime already, might as well see what's on it. Oh hey, they have Vikings? I haven't seen season 3/4 yet, great! NOPE SORRY HD PLAYBACK IS DISABLED DUE TO HDCP restrictions. Okay maybe they just don't like Chrome. Nope, same in Firefox. IE and EDGE won't even load video on Prime. 15 minutes of dicking around with Silverlight plugins and different browsers and fuck it, back to stealing everything I go.

Good job there jackasses, once again piracy is quicker and move convenient for me in every way. At least Netflix works fine pretty much always? If only there were anything worth watching on it.

Now I'm onto step 2 : something to automate my tv shows / anime / movie downloads. In the past I've used flexget + transmission, now I'm looking at something more user friendly but lightweight (I'm cpu bound at the moment).

I've been reading up about Sonarr but it looks mostly aimed at usenet not torrents (just like couchpatto, sickbeard and others I could find on google).

Sonarr works fine with torrents.
Got mine setup with Deluge, parsing shows from rarbg and nyaa and it works fine as hell.

Netflix on a PC browser doesn't output Dolby Digital, you have to use the app. Is there a similar app for Amazon Prime that you can use for HD?

Also, the only way to watch Netflix or Prime 4k is through a Smart TV app.

I have just bought a 4k TV and new HTPC. My "plan" was to start torrenting stuff in 4k. The only problem is that having a 4k display really shows the flaws in badly encoded torrents e.g I normally download Suits every thursday but the only HD file up first is a 900mb 720p KILLERS encode that has a very low bit rate and looks terrible on my display, so I have to wait 12-24 hours for the WEB-DL rips to appear.

It's easily 10years+ since I last paid for any content outside the cinema, but having a 4k display means I am seriously considering paying for Netflix and Prime. Sure, I can get 4k rips of all the netflix content but it will still be compressed and I'm now obsessed with the best possible picture

Every one of those now support torrents exactly the same as newsgroups.

a_skeleton_03 and I even went into some pretty detailed explanation of how to set up Sonarr with torrents a few pages back. Pictures and everything!

I can't recommend Sonarr enough. I was skeptical that I really needed that extra automation, but a_skeleton_03 kept championing it, and I have to admit I've pretty much achieved maximum laziness now, and I owe it all to him.

Can't stress that enough. When you are following 15+ shows a week and want them in a specific quality, it really cuts down on the daily checking. And the joy of coming home from work and having everything ready to watch.

Shit is slow to update but I'm peaking at over 100Mb/s downloads. Need to find something bigger to download. Anyway, I love it.

I fully admit I am too lazy to set up Sonarr or whatever.

However, I wish BTN would just fix their broken Favorites. It's been like a year now that you can't add any shows. It was pretty simple before to just go to Favorites and it would list the last episode aired, as well as the next scheduled ep. Made it pretty simple without all the added complexity. No damn idea why they can't sort that shit out. Hell, old TVTorrents had a superior Favorites feature and that tracker was pretty low end in comparison to the rep of BTN.

Just select the "Notify of New Uploads" option under the banner on each show you want to follow. You can go into the notification settings and select specific qualities as well to narrow it down. After you do that, it will show that you have new notifications at the top of the Home page whenever there is something new:
rrr_img_127594.jpg

Then you just click that and see what is new, and download directly from there if you want it. No need to go to each page or anything. If you selected multiple qualities, or there are multiple torrents, it will list all that match, and you can choose what you want. Or, set it up as an RSS feed and have it auto-download everything that shows up there.

Assuming you won't just set up Sonarr, of course.

Quick question : how do I get Sonarr to download directly in the series folder. Right now it downloads shit in the root directory and then copies it to the series folder so I get something like this :
/lucifer-s1e1.mkv
/Lucifer/Season1/lucifer-s1e1.mkv
