Reminded me of future man to a degree.
i think the humor in future man hit a lot better.

i know a lot of you guys enjoyed this but it was fairly meh for me. i didn't hate it... maybe i just was hoping something more in tune with the games, tone wise. sweet tooth was... fine, i guess? samoa joe's mannerisms were spot on, but i guess i just can't hear will arnett and think anything other than flat punchline. i mean, that's his thing and it works, i like him in roles that really take advantage of that, he's great as lego batman, for example. but as an unhinged sociopath i don't buy it. everytime he talks it's like he's priming for a joke... i don't know, i just wasn't feeling it.

same kind of thing with preacher. preacher didn't feel like his own character, he just felt like jason mantzoukas being jason mantzoukas. that's his thing, i get it... i loved him in brooklyn 99, but preacher is just pimento but able to swear.

ugh. i want to like this show, and i know a lot of people did, it just felt too... campy? maybe? i don't know

Had pretty low expectations but this isn't bad. They are kinda going for a James Gunn Suicide Squad or Peacemaker vibe. Not nearly as good as either but its worth a watch.

Future Man also had Eliza Coupe who is like top 5 for me ever since Happy Endings.

season 1 was good, i don't like mackie in almost anything he has done but he is actually good in this role. comedy/action is his forte when paired with a good sidekick, not serious action.

I actually liked him in every role I've seen him in other than Falcon. And if I'm being honest, I liked him in the first few films as Falcon. But I agree he's better in comedies.

He was in a movie I really liked called Synchronic that wasn't a comedy, also he was quite good in Hurt Locker. Honestly I think its MCU writing.

He's a good Falcon not a good Captain America.

He was also good in 8 Mile where he played a black guy.

Finished Season 2. I felt like it was good for most of the season, but it was building up to something that didn't deliver. I don't know that they could have delivered and still continued to Season 3, so that's probably why it feels unsatisfying. I'll still watch the next season, but "the tournament" was what I was waiting for...and if it's going back to the Season 1 format, I'm not as invested.

I just finished Season 2. It was even better than Season 1. But the 'cliffhanger' was pretty lame so if they get canceled now it'll be a good ending. Also, I realized one of the holy men was stewart from letterkenny. He was very good. He acted like he knew john and quiet, but I don't remember seeing him in season 1. Actually, almost all of the contestants were really good. Even the florida bug girl, who I initially hated, turned out to be pretty funny.

binged through season 2, goofy as hell but i enjoyed it. drags a little near the end but it does finish a tournament which is nice.

its weird having a 12 episode season nowadays when so many shows are 6-8 episodes, appreciated it even though you could tell some plots got dragged out a little. i don't know fuck all about the lore of Twisted Metal so some of the cameos and "twists" in the finale went right over my head but who cares.

i imagine next season will be the final season with streaming dying off, and you can tell each season the budget gets less and less with this season some of the sets looking like Stargate SG1 sets but whatever, there was some real ultra violence some times which surprised me.

not one of those GOAT shows but its dumb fun which we need more of. Give me 20 of these over 1 shitty Last of Us.

with streaming dying off
Is this actually happening? I'm asking seriously.

If streaming shows die off, what is left? Have any of you actually looked at network television lately? I was forced to when at my parents house recently, and it is nothing but shitty reality shows and almost as shitty cop/hospital/lawyer dramas. If streaming died off, we'd be back to watching that garbage.

I hope that doesn't happen.
