Once you get into mega view territory, you’re basically a brand unto itself. The strength of your personal brand will dictate what you do on stream. Guys like Ninja tied their brand too much to one game and when the game fell out of favor, so did their brand.

Guys like XQC or Soda or Asmongold do more variety stuff now and are the draw themselves usually. They can entertain the audience with a wider range of things.

Large viewer counts on any given stream can sometimes draw in people to see what is going on (just like irl - if you see a large crowd looking at something, you usually are curious what they are looking at), but large views aren’t sustainable long term unless you’re putting out something the audience likes on a consistent basis and continues to come back for

Oh the new metas allowed will be putting something out for sure.
It probably won't mess with what I watch mostly which is fishing and dinosaur stuff.

Oh that’s a cool find. Can’t watch it now, but what do they do on that stream? Just discuss paleontology news or do they actually do stuff with real fossils too?

He is very G rated as is chat, it is well moderated. Sometimes he goes on digs where they spend months in a tent just slowly chipping away rock around bones.
Interesting fact, most dino sites are on protected federal land. They get grants to remove the bones but the bones go to Gov sites after processing by science teams as they own the bones.
He is by all appearances a good guy. Shame you can't lock channels on Twitch for such things like kid viewership.
He teaches college level classes so while he has lots of 3d printed dinos around to show, more often the streams are like lessons and questions into the history and age. I find it great background noise while doing stuff and still pick up some things I didn't know.

He uses starlink on the digs.
