good call, i am extremely disappointed with VR this gen. My brother in law is taking my Rift this weekend to mess around with it, he cancelled his Vive order too. I'm not even sure I'll take it back, when I had a few hours to kill last night I played Hitman on just regular gSync than boot up a VR game, not a single VR game has given me that "man... I really wanna keep playing this!" feeling that games like Hitman, Uncharted, GTA, etc give.I got the "you're about to get charged!" email and ended up cancelling my Vive. I'll probably be back in this summer, but the lack of any sort of good games kind of killed my initial enthusiasm. $900 for VR porn and Tilt Brush was too much to handle atm.
Yeah, there's no AAA games yet. I'm excited to get my Vive, but I'm also very tempered in my expectation of the current software.not a single VR game has given me that "man... I really wanna keep playing this!" feeling that games like Hitman, Uncharted, GTA, etc give.

Yep I'm pissed at this news.hmm tried whirligig and still same problem, everything is a massive dick or vagina except if I do home theater mode where its a tiny screen inside a virtual cinema room. i just don't see the "make a screen thats the entire screen in front of my face" option, its either gigantic 180/360 drive in theater sized experience or shitty postage stamp sized theater for ants
i've never paid for porn in my life and I am certainly not starting for virtual reality!! even the idea of going to a strip club repulses me, not for any moral reason I just don't wanna give some random stripper my money. i'll check out that sub reddit though, but my rift is with my brother in law this week
There are a couple of massive Virtual reality porn packs on IPT, like 100 gigs, but they are 6 months old so dunno how good they would be with CV1
also CV1 will be available in stores at best buy for both demo and purchase starting this week, not sure the exact time details but seems kinda fucked up if you can buy in store before people who ordered online get theirs. Current online orders have an estimated ship date of August.

I can't speak for every profession but if I told my boss I had a VR setup being delivered he'd be rushing me out the door handing me my jacketDammit. FedEx tracking updated from tomorrow to today, but I'm not home to sign for it!
Yeah, I would say you don't speak for pretty much every profession that isn't a bunch of geeks(ie: computer-related). Unfortunately, I don't work in a geeky field!I can't speak for every profession but if I told my boss I had a VR setup being delivered he'd be rushing me out the door handing me my jacket
