Boss fights never get very complex. There are a couple of slightly more complex ones you probably haven't got to yet (exploiter and profit taker orbs, eidolons) but since I assume you've done the Jackal at this point that is pretty standard complexity for bosses.

At 30 hours in you've seen most of the mission types. The missions get harder as you get higher level ones through a variety of mechanisms. One is obviously that the enemies get much tougher and do more damage so fine tuning your weapons and having good defences start to matter. At 30 hours in you're probably still fighting stuff you can easily just tank with standard armour & shields.

For chase weapons there are definitely weapons that get more and more destructive. My favourite weapon is a secondary with infinite ammo which rapid fires cluster bombs which can easily wipe out the whole screen of even very high level monsters.

I can probably taxi you to some higher level content if you like but most endgame stuff is gated behind quests.

Glad to hear the tuning of difficulty picks up. At the moment it kind of feels like I can just face-check things and they die. I want to at least have to focus on my build and mechanics and from what I'm reading the game leans into that hard much later.

Yeah there's definitely missions which would be way too hard for you at the moment but you likely can't access them yet due to incomplete quests and other gates that prevent access.

Alright I'll keep clearing them up. Thanks.
I think the game definitely becomes a lot better when you 1) unlock Steel Path which is like hard mode and forces you to properly build chars 2) get to more recent content that is usually tuned to be more challenging even on normal, like roughly once you reach The New War and past that.

Early on you can more or less run through maps just spamming melee attacks and one tapping everything, then it gets decently hard and you have to start upgrading your stuff, farm mods, arcanes, archon shards and all that. Then you can run through maps by just spamming melee.

It is a bit of a weird game that's more like Diablo-likes than proper FPS or stuff like Destiny with pseudo MMO progression, where difficulty is never really high but it's still fun to just run through maps blowing up stuff. There's some harder endgame content but a large part of the difficulty in the hardest content(EDA/ETA) is that you're playing "draft mode" where you only get to pick randomly selected weapons/frames for the week instead of the cookie cutter meta shit. Whenever you get lucky and get a meta setup, that shit's easy too. But when you don't it's fun to figure out how to make it work with less than optimal choices.

"The game gets a lot better once you beat the entire game."

I disagree. Steel Path is what made me quit. It's also stupid that unlocking hard mode is a moving goalpost every time they add content.

Replaying everything I already beat while waiting 3 days for frames to craft was fucking lame. The entire game just turns into broken builds destroying every enemy on your map tile before you even see them.

And that's not fun?
Maybe not everyone's cup of tea I guess but all of the crazy stuff you can do with the right builds is what helps the game hold appeal for me.

Not really, no. Stand still, click 1 or 2 abilities, clear room, bullet jump to next reused tile, repeat. Same thing you did for the first 150 level nodes except now you need mods that require two weeks of faction work to do the same thing with bigger numbers.

Stand still
Found the problem, you're supposed to be flying through them map at high speed while simultaneously murdering everything!

Seriously though it sounds like the game isn't for you if the main gameplay loop isn't fun for you.
