but I entertained shotgun as a way to defend against stuff that broke through to the back line where the Officer would be giving orders.
If you want an officer RT to have some options for direct action against the enemy take sanctioned psyker origin. Noble officer is basically pure buff bot.

Just started this.
I hate, absolutely fucking loathe, the premade portrait system. Fucking despise it.
Should I get the DLC's before I get too far, like do they unlock/add shit I would rather have had access to in the first place if I had know?

Yes, they add extensive quests that are interwoven throughout the base story seamlessly as well as companions & their companion quests.

Totally worth it. I'm on chapter 4 right now, and the game is amazing. The DLC quest specifically with the assassin lady are awesome, plus she's easily one of your strongest party members.

The fucking squid dude first boss killed my party because I suck at these games.
Uninstalled.

j/k, I beat him the second time by adjusting my tactics. You know, learning from a loss and doing better the second time.
Setting is interesting.
This is also my first real dive into Warhammer, never got into it on any level. Knew it existed but nothing beyond that. Wow, did I ever dodge a bullet there.

Game is neat.

Holy fuck, Kibellah, the Bladedancer, is a walking death machine.
Its even worse if you create a pyro/executioner version of the baldedancer. He/She literally deletes entire screens of enemies in a single action using flames. And the ones left over are deleted with blades.

How do you do that, through respec? I haven't respecced anybody yet.

I mean I'm almost done with the game, but some of my builds are probably completely retarded, but I make them work. I'm just playing on normal though. I just get tired of having to try to figure out what new skill to pick and the game doesn't do a very good job of telling you what might be important and what isn't.

It's probably because I'm thinking in the d&d mindset and I'm trying to equate everything with that system, but this one definitely seems to be different.

He means a pyro/bladedancer MC. Pyro/anything MC is a killing machine, although just about anything/anything MC is a killing machine if built for combat. Really the only thing the MC isn't the best at is automatically going first in combat and spamming navigator powers.

Yeah for the characters that I didn't use, who were sometimes forced into my party, I just went with whatever this spreadsheet had instead of taking the time to think about their build. I had to put the points somewhere because the loud levelup sound plays every time you get any exp from a skillcheck if you don't.

I remember the gameplay being pyro/exec get double turn from grand strategist and then the next turn as well from some item. Then you use the map wide exec heroic action and pyro flame. More or less all encounters are over after these first 2 guys actions with 0 action taken by the ennemies, no matter how spread out they are. The most broken combination ive experienced in this game by far.
