The last fine autist to win LVO had a 250 piece or something IG recon army. It would take me a long time to be able to play that in tournament time against even regular joes to any degree of success.

hah man that guard army is nuts. i never got to play (the war game) 40k enough to be serious, but i always wanted to do a bulky horde of guardsmen.
listening to the youtube about the breakdown of how the army works, thet medics and fallback things are really cool and i dont' recall that sort of thing being around back when i played, so that's awesome.

Yeah that was awesome. Seeing the winner made it clear it wouldn’t have been the DW, but that Thousand Sons army the IG barely beat.
I watched it live on Twitch and was happy IG won. I need to finish painting my Cadians.
The longest battle of my life was playing a 3500 point battle of
Vonpol
IG (that he left me in his will) against my Tyranids. Holy shit, he barely won on points, but he said no other game in his entire life scared him like that one did playing against my ’Nids. His Leman Russes saved the day, but even I was in awe of the raw destruction of two Carnifexes.
