Need a car to avoid the 14mph. Anything under one days drive isn't bad at all to me if it's something worthwhile.

I'm just sad that locally we just have mostly a few rabid liberal fat boys that play. That and the game is more expensive than a gun hobby just about. But still miss it. Not sure why space marine 2 didn't hold my attention. Going the impending games will. It fuck it need to load up down for a fix.

I liked the RPG that came out sorts ok, but want something small scale preferably with a few vehicles. Kinda like a slightly larger kill team game. Basically like jagged alliance 3 or menace

You have to build local scenes and it is hard. Usually within a 40 mile radius or so.

The video game thing is probably from burnout and overuse. Also we can't go as long as we could while we were younger, so we figured why bother if I can't keep up.

I played a double header and was feelin it boy. That and shoveling all that ice slop, God damn.

Keep an eye out for the work the mod community is doing for SM2. This year is a chance for some great stuff to be finished. I saw talk of 64v64 multiplayer, chaos/Tau campaigns and terminator classes.

Lol

As one of the very first Necron fans outta rogue trader in like 1996 or 7 and having the first 3 model pewter army in Little Rock or KC (lord immortal warrior), I gotta root for the Necrons. It was love at first sight.

I don't play them but the mat, objective markers and terrain set I put together had to be a tomb world

Silent King without his pylons v Victrix Honor Guard. Necrons have two bruiser detachments right now, and one is centered around the Silent King and gives him unbelievable survivability, but, depending on when the picture was taken, those Ultramarines were really unbalanced when they were released a month or so ago and could take down almost anything in the game, so it's a real irresistible force v immovable object standoff

We have one at the local and I'm finding myself leaning into the stat check setup too.

The Incursors and Phobos librarian are getting switched out to a ballistus dread to turn a recent near loss into a win. No more Mr. Nice Nigron!

I mean you need to have a few Xenos armies anyways (eventually)

I’m pushing Necrons since they are similar in shooting and toughness like marines. Plus they slap the shit outta chaos. Orks and chaos are my other two faves (I’ve owned and played many armies like Nids, DE etc)

Orks are the most fun generally however for a tournament they are a challenge to win with due to their crazy rolls. I only won once with my Orks. Their RNG I believe has got better in the last edition but still.

Absolutely everyone loves playing against Orks they are so much fun

Xenos, yes of course.

I have Drukhari and "I can see that" means my shit is gone lol.

But done right, the opponent only gets to interact with me in ways that involve me trading up, getting pain tokens and going berserk on damage.

I've started cobbling together some night lords stuff and workin away at it too. 3 armies is probably too much but, nice to offer variety to the local ppl.

Orks are extremely good and probably the most fun to come up with kitbashes for.

I think this game is best served as a just play to play type game and talk strategy with the regulars. There's guys who can spit lore n stuff about the planets, inhabitants, populations and all that too. Coming in to float between a couple other in progress games is worth it once you gain an understanding of things too. Kind of like appreciating watching pro golf once you've realized how hard it is.
