I've lived in warm climates for over a decade now (deserts of California and now Florida), so you'd think I'd be used to heat in February, but it still surprises me.

Putting in a sprinkler system, all on my own (started back in October or November), and it's fucking brutal today. Just pouring down sweat.

Spring was last week apparently ane now full into summer here at my parents house in MS. Upper 20's last week, 85F for a high today. Noticed some pine pollen on my phone while sitting on the porch today. Azaleas in full bloom and magnolias have been for a while. Grass is mostly green but not really into full growing mode yet.

In a week DC has gone from 80F to snow showers to 70F tomorrow to another inch of rain on Friday.

Could be a zero shoveling year.

Here around Detroit we had a wicked ice storm last week, trees down, no electricity for a few days. I looked out to my backyard and my huge ass maple, prob 100 yrs old, had like at least an inch of ice on all its limbs. Branches that are usually 15 ft up were touching the ground. So then this past week we had mid 50s, yesterday was almost 60, we had our windows open for a few hours to get some fresh.

Then tomorrow its 30s again and were supposed to get 8-10 in of fucking snow. Feels bad, I thought we turned the corner.

Kind of surprised there hasn't been a story some fell off a house and crushed/killed someone.
