Eh, I dunno how many people storm-horde milk. It doesn't last very long so the supply chain stays pretty tight. Even a small % of people just buying their normal weekly milk a couple of days early because they don't want to go for groceries in the middle of a storm fucks everything up for a few days.

It is funny seeing all the hype and such on how to prepare for cold weather. I mean it's super rare, it's not like it gets cold every year in winter. What will we do?
I can sere prolonged cold weather but some of the hype stories, don't leave your pets outside. Gee no shit? It's 10 degrees, I mean if it was 15 it would have been okay.

Snow totals dropping even further with weathermen analysis. We've effectively gone from 16" snow to 10" w/ sleet to 7" w/ freezing rain & ice with each subsequent forecast.
Yeah we know everything is cancelled through Monday already, we're waiting to see how bad transportation will be for the rest of the week since it won't go above freezing and there's projections for another storm a week later.

Well it is Georgia, so that means people have to stock up for two weeks, whenever a two day event is coming. The thing that really made me laugh was the apparent run on ...bananas.
It does suck though that the forecast just updated with pretty much all of North Georgia under an Ice Storm Warning. I like snow, I am not a fan of ice storms.

We think it's bad here, it's 1 degree (-17 celcius). I have friends in Ontario where it is currently -50 celcius (-58 faranheit) plus wind chill. They have had just over 40 inches of snow in the last week. I love winter.
