With the way Ryan Hall was freaking out about this debris signature last night I was expecting to see reports of an EF4+ uprooting half of Morgan-Monroe state forest this morning but there's hardly any mention of it.

That thing hit I think 73dbz, which is kind of nuts. But yeah, since it was seemingly just trees, didn't really see anything about it. This is about the best I could find:

82F currently and we are under a heat advisory. I think they need to change it to heat and humidity advisory. Of cours the heat index later is listed at 115. But seems like anyone in the south should know it's going to be hot and humid in June consdidering it rained for 3 days straight.

When I worked for the US Forest Service in TX they left notes in my mailbox every day it was a heat advisory. They didn't like me working which seemed odd. Of course pretty sure I was the only person that set foot on the national forest more than once a year.

Well if we are in line with the cells it's 0.5-1.0" for each one, ponds that dried up might be back.

I was telling someone that the reason why Paris doesn't have much in term of AC is because it's basically Montana, or even slightly north of that.

I should have checked the predictions before speaking...

I don't typically use much air conditioning. I put in a couple of window units and use them in July and August and that's about it. Most of the time even in the summer it cools down enough at night that it's nicer to just open up the house. Of course one of my window units picked this week to give up the ghost.

What the fuck is "patchy smoke"? Patchy fog, sure, but patchy smoke? There are zero wildfires around here (east coast). Is the weather service now predicting wildfires? (That won't lead to any conspiracy theories, right?) What an odd thing to say.

Here in MI were supposed to get the full brunt of this fire tomorrow. The kid has some fiends at a reservation in Canada and they say its fucking bad. They say that breathing this shit is like smoking a pack of cigarettes. We had this shit a few years back from more Canada fires. It was like 2 weeks of this shit, could not see 14/ mile out.

Got it here now. All this because Canadians don't know how water works.

I saw earlier on a astronomy forum people complaining about the smoke from the Canadian fire(s) who are in the northeast which would include Boston. Lot of smoke.

It is 84 here right now. I am so confused. Usually it is 30 degrees hotter in the ides of July.

I actually managed some VR last night. Normally I have to quit in july/august.
