Someone suggested using resin if I wanted something stronger than a typical vape cart. Is it that much stronger and how big of a hassle is it to use with a vaporizer? Any negatives vs just getting the vape carts?

There are basically three types of carts. Distillate, Live Resin, and Rosin. Rosin is considered the best, but it costs the most. Live Resin is good as well a bit better than distillate. You can usually get these in disposables or in 510 thread carts.

Pro tip; Allow the live rosin carts to "rest" between each hit. The intake ports need about 60 seconds MINIMUM between uses for the rosin to soak into the wick. This may vary between cultivars because each one has a unique viscosity. If you see darker streaks bleeding into your vape then you have either held the button down too long or taken hits too fast in succession.

Mr_Bungle Mr_Bungle hey figured you'd get a kick out of this. I picked up the Best in Grass - Sativa for Michigan. It's 24 1g packs for judging.

So I have a friend who does NOT live in a recreational state. He plans to drive to a state where recreational use is legal and buy from a dispensary. He wants to purchase the legal maximum of vape cartridges two days in a row. Like drive in, buy, stay overnight, buy again, then leave.

Do any of you know if the dispensaies have any issues with people buying two days in a row? Since you have to show ID, he's worried that the sales are tracked even though you have to pay cash.

I only know Michigan. He wouldn't have to stay the night here. You can buy your limit and then they just start a new transaction. Some places may have you put your first sale in your car and come back in, but that has only happened once to me.

Its usually state dependent. Rec markets are usually less restrictive. The Medical states have tighter rules for an allotment. The state im in is an ounce every 10 days.

Those packaging materials look dope! Wish I lived in a cool state. Be careful with that Super Lemon strain, probably loaded with limonene. That terpene makes me anxious depending on how strong it is.

Happy 710 stoners. I am not a Rosin guy but I did go out and enjoy some sales.

Good to finally see Headband without the 707 area code attached! I haven't grown any Headband cultivars in several years but I always enjoyed the unique "headband" effect and scent.
Yeah one of my favorite strains right now is ZHB. I am hoping this one hits a little better.

This is how I picture the two of you.

Maybe when I was a younger man. Having been on the production side for almost a decade has given me a new perspective and appreciation for weed. I cringe when people "power smoke" mass quantities with these contraptions. All that flower was the culmination of 3-4 months of work, all gone in an instant without hesitation. Granted the increased demand is good for "sales number go up".

Mr_Bungle Mr_Bungle Wasn't planning on grabbing the Zalympix box since there were only 400 of them for Michigan. People were camping out a day ahead for them and stores only got like 8 boxes. I went up to restock on mainly hash and check out a new spot that has 50% for first timers. Out of curiosity I asked if they still had the box and got the last one.

Having the customers engagee by voting on phenotypes is such a great move, I wish we did that more often.

It is weird that it is only Michigan and California. Although apparently Michigan is considered the top weed state nowadays. Quality wise at least. There is definitely a lot of good growers here. The "Cali" brands here are meh and overpriced.

Old school strains coming back to life.

1000007680.jpg

1000007681.jpg

Taken from the grower:
Hello all there has been alot of questions and interest in Florida Crippy recently and I figured I would do a little write up on the history of this strain.

Our Florida Crippy we produce is a new version of the classic. It is a back crossed inbred line of Florida Crippy with donny burger as the male donor.

I bought about 3k worth of 808 genetics Crippy strains in 2022 to do a deep hunt through , John (I think his name is) aka 808 genetics has done like 20 different versions of Crippy crosses and I believe his clone of Crippy came from his father. Almost all of the phenotypes from seed were very slow growing and very susceptible to disease and pest pressure especially outdoors in Michigan. The one keeper out of about 200 seeds that we hunted was the Florida Crippy “crypto” pheno which we are running right now.

So what is Florida Crippy? Well it is the original “OG Kush” the mother to all OG kush varietals. The closest sibling to Crippy, “Krippy”, or “Krippy Kush” is Triangle Kush. The next closest is SFV or San Fernando Valley OG Kush. All OG Kush versions are basically bag seeds of bag seeds of Crippy. There may be a male in there every once in a while as the years go by and the clones got passed around from person to person. But genetic sequencing has shown us that all OG kush pretty much map back to a mysterious kush clone from South Florida.

I am talking about Fire OG, Hells Angel, Biker Kush, Larry OG, Eddy Lepp OG, WIFI OG, WIFI 43, SFV, The White OG, Josh D OG, Spartan OG, Leeroy OG, Scott’s OG… the list goes on and on and on. All of them have very similar genetic markers leading back to this strange and potent bud from the 1980’s in Florida.

A lot of old timers I have talked to have told me that OG Kush is mostly sativa with some type of Pakistani heirloom kush (indica) and has some type of very high potency equatorial varietal of landrace sativa. I have been told most likely being Colombian black, Thai , and/ or Mexican landrace. From what I have seen hunting 100’s if not 1000s of OG kush there is definitely Mexican in there and then some thin leaf sativa that has very jagged deep serrations on the fan leaves. I am not sure if that is Thai or Colombian trait but we will likely never know. All I can say is that the best phenotypes seem to be the thinner leaf ones that look more sativa. They are always the most potent.

So how did OG Kush get to California? There were surfers in Florida around the coco beach area if my memory serves and they took seeds/ clones in the 80’s to southern California and began growing the strain there. There is a distinct difference in the way California OG kush and Crippy grow. Crippy can tolerate moisture better modern OG Kush. Don’t get me wrong Crippy still hate being wet, but it will at least survive outside in a moister climate unlike a lot of OG Kush. I want to point out that real OG’s are amongst the hardest plants to cultivate. They refuse to clone and get sick easy and dont yield at all. They are damn near impossible to make money off from- so if you growing it or buying it from a store. Whoever grew that shit, did it out of love for the plant and not about making money.

A lot of people from Florida have been contacting me about this strain and how much it means to them, so for anyone who has gotten to smoke the real crippy back in the day. Please share your experience or any other information in the comments. I would like to bring more awareness to this lineage as it something extremely special. Crippy is the backbone behind almost all strains today so it really deserves some respect and recognition. Long Live The Kush 🫡 -
glk
