Can anyone recommend a good electrolyte powder supplement? Preferably one that’s keto friendly?

I second LMNT - and that they are cheaper to order in bulk directly than from amazon.

Alternative I use are the propel zero sugar that I'll occasionally pick up at walmart.

Pink Himalayan salt, just get a small grinder and put two small turns of it in your water.

I'm pushing 175 now, down from 205 a year ago. Combined with the swimming I've been doing, I have apparently crossed into 8+ territory for my age group. At least for me, I'm getting a wild amount of positive feedback from random women. Flirty waitresses, handsy nurses, unsolicited smiles and complements at the grocery store, etc. It's like stepping into the twilight zone after having been completely invisible to anyone but my wife for most of the last 15 years. (And attention from the wife has jumped up several notches, too.)

Still happily married with no desire for extracurriculars, but the validation feels nice on the ego.

Lost almost 70lbs since June.

Changed diet habits (not ordering from GrubHub every other day).
Eat 2 meals a day, first one after 10a. Second not after 8pm.
Snacks okay between.

Go out for a walk for 15-20 minutes twice a day.

Did higher weight loss in roughly the same time frame. My friend.. it is definitely about pushing the plate away. Almost 99% of it in my opinion and nothing to do with "the gym". You want to contribute it to "walking 20 minutes a day" and.. trust me bro, that helps. But "walking"? .... 20 minutes? not even close to the caloric expenditure needed to lose weight. I am proud of you. I am happy for you. But you have to go further. The only reason you lost weight is because you limited your diet. The other habits you meant less than 10%. Its a hard truth to swallow. Cause Motherucker.. Bro.. I fucking did stairs for 1000 hours over the last month. That helped me, and I know it did. But.. no.. It really is just diet.

I have went to bed hungry so much in the last year that...it made me go into a depression. Im not here to defeat your purpose, or your goal. I want you to go further, because reaching your goal of losing weight...once you're doing that... its easy. But getting fit, muscular, tone, and more is not that easy. People do Tren to skip the "real" work. Remember that. Let that sink in. So when you finally do get there, you know others do drugs to get where you've gotten.

For me it was diet until I reach about 28 bmi, then it’s been walking. Walking a lot. I've been averaging 20k steps a day for months. That’s over 1k calories of exercice a day. And unlike other exercices, it doesn’t seem to trigger my hunger.

I also gained a lot more muscle than I expected. It’s great because I hate going to the gym.

The downside is you need to be able to get those 20k step everyday.

Holy shit that’s some quick weight loss. Well done!
Losing weight that fast can be dangerous. While I'm not recommending against it, since obviously he's quite the porker if he has 70 pounds to spare at a start of a journey like that, make sure your diet has all the vitamins/protein/omega-3 that your body needs to function. If it doesn't, make sure to augment it with high quality vitamins, fish oil and a little extra pure protein. You can do this for virtually no calories, and honestly the vitamins part at a minimum is generally a best practice on any restricted diet. The last thing anyone making progress wants to do is end up like terry schaivo... Though the vast majority of people will experience the more minor symptoms, eg depression like daidraco above.

Yup, this is the long and short of it. Calories, calories, calories all day every day. Unless you are working out for hours like Gurgeh Gurgeh you are not likely to be doing enough to have any meaningful impact on your weight. That's not to say exercise isn't incredibly good for things. It will absolutely help you out with staying fit and active until you die, but it's not great for most people who want to lose wight.

Figure out a healthy weight, and eat the calories to maintain that weight. That's all you have to do to get there. Being hungry sucks, but it is a great way to build willpower and discipline.

Control what you eat to control your weight. Control your exercise regimen to control whether that weight is fat or muscle.

Weight loss is all about how you eat.

Exercise is for cardiovascular health and overall fitness.

In my 20s I could run 50-70 miles a week and be somewhat carefree with the diet.
When I hit my 30s and didn't make time for any of it... the result was no surprise.

Thought the drier had shrunk my clothes, again and again.
In denial, did not want to actually get on a scale for years because I knew the truth.

Diet was everything for me, walking helped maintain some of the muscle.

I feel like its just as hateful coming back down. Every fucking time I turned around, my clothes were too big for me. Feels so back handed. Like yayyy.. Im losing weight. But those fucking dress pants were expensive as fuck (thinking theres no way Ill get smaller than a 36 at the time.) Most of my gym wear is still too big, but I only mildly care about that. I started buying those shirts and shorts from Dicks Sporting Goods (DSG brand). Basically Underarmor shirts at basic prices (usually). 20 bucks for some shorts with a liner that has a secure cell phone pocket in the liner. Shirts that wick away sweat and I think theyre roughly 20 bucks too. They've lasted almost daily use for a while now and havent fallen apart.

I "should" buy new ones that are my actual size so I "look good - feel good" - but I dont even think about it when Im there. I know all the women anyways and I think half of them still see me as the chubby weak out of shape guy I was when I first came there. I keep thinking about moving Gyms just to kind of start over? ... But I kind of dont want to? Never mind the whole point of it would be to meet new people, but I dread that awkward phase of not knowing anyone. (... also dread buying all new clothes, too. haha)

I don't measure in steps.. but 1k cal walking is like 10 miles. you walk 10 miles a day? 2 and a half hours? thats a big time investment. walking is pretty super inefficient for cal burn and muscle gain. its.. super efficient for long distance low calorie effect.. which is you know, evolutionarily useful.
not sure how my watch clocks steps, but it counted 8k steps on my last 7.5m walk. 10k on the last 6.6m run.

heart rate walking probably never tops 100, unless hills... 110..
biking I average 120 bpm. 140-160 on hills. this I do, do 2hours average. 25mile is about 1k cal. 30 is about 1200-1400
jogging average 150. 170-180 on hills. jogging clocks in 30-45min usually. 4-6miles. 700-800 cal.

It’s not 2.5 hours, it works like this : go drop / pick up the kids, use a car 20 mn, 0 steps. Walk : 30 mn 3k steps. Groceries same, and you get to walk back with 20 pounds, etc.. so it's more like one extra hour to reach those 20k when optimizing.

I'm minimizing the time I sit, one hour of workout barely compensate 6 hours of sitting in a day, iirc, like ACM or cardiovascular health for 8 hours sitting is the same as 14 hours + 1 hour workout. Most of the days I sit less than 4 hours.

Ask our local doctor Izo Izo , too much sitting, deadly! I thought I would lose weight, and I did, but I didn’t expect to gain that much muscles. It seems to be more efficient than workout coaches expects.
