Follow Up: I did some quick Googling and this ranking came up. I've gotta say, the results don't seem encouraging. Too cheap and load capacity is too low for most of them. Makes me think they won't be durable long term.

I was just going to suggest one of these. I had the same concerns; the price had me worried about the build quality but with my back, I can't do anything for more than 3-5 min, so my walking range is super limited. We also don't have sidewalks in my neighborhood as it was built in the 1960s. I love mine: I have had it for two months, no issues yet.

I am not doing anything like HIIT, LOL, per my previous comments, I am just trying to move. Supposedly it goes up to 5.0mph, per the design.

Expensive but best route may be a decent standard treadmill, pretty high standing desk, and remove the arms/bars of the treadmill and route the control box (smaller design better) to sit on the side of the desk or pain in the ass but on the floor/side whre you have to step off then turn it off.
Yeah, I have a nordic track treadmill desk, which is basically just a desktop strapped to a treadmill. Sturdy as fuck if you actually want to treadmill while you desk and cheap if you can find one at a used sports store. I poked at the under desk things a while back, and they all seem like they're geared towards super casual/slow walking. Not that it's super easy to do serious desk stuff while moving fast of course, but not bad for reading or light interaction.
(now I just need to use the fucking thing lol)

A rowing machine is also a pretty good low-impact option. It's one of the only exercise machines that I never minded using. I should probably get one now that I mention it. I've only used fancy gym-models though. The home versions I've poked have looked super-flimsy in comparison, and I've never wanted to spend what a "good" one costs.

I didn't even use mine that hard. 1.5-3 hours, 3-4 times a week at like 1.2-1.6 speed. Well below what these things were rated for. 99% just seem to be cheap trash, unfortunately.

If you're ever confused about this, spend 24+ hours with a fat person. Go on vacation or something.

They all say the same shit "oh, I don't eat that much" and then you go out to a normal run of the mill American restaurant and put down 3/4 of an appetizer and the whole main and don't need a take home box.

"Bitch, you don't eat that much, but just mulched 4000 calories and you're gonna need a 'snack' before bed?"

Everyone is the size they are for a reason.

Most things in life are easy to say, hard to do.

Good news, you don't have to do it forever.

You just can't NOT forever.

I'm still gonna eat pumpkin pie every fall. I'm still gonna go out with my buddies and just slam cherry cokes because I don't drink. I'm still gonna smash a whole taco pizza.

I'm just not gonna do those things every day. Or even most days.

As long as you are able to work it off or cut down for a few days afterwards that kind of thing is fine. The problem is changing your eating habits and keeping your caloric intake in the right range for the long run. It's literally as simple as that. Control your calories.

Pizza. Ground beef. Use taco sauce instead of pizza sauce. Cook it.

Take it out, top with cold lettuce, tomato, cheese, black olives, whatever.

Godfather's is the place to be for pizza, been a staple since my youth. Not a lot of them around, but there's one about 10 miles south of the gun range I go to.

Sorry - forgot this is the weight loss thread, not the "I'm gonna be a fat ass because I just discovered ambrosia" thread.

Its soul food. We have to eat like shit once in a while to stay happy.

That does look pretty amazing.
