All music is math.

Fair, but this group recognizes that more than most, and focuses on it.

I love these guys. They call it math rock. They're amazing musicians. The drummer does things I've never seen any other drummer do. They have songs where the guitar and the drums are in two different time signatures. Very talented, classically trained, serious theory knowledge.

Here's another from them. They're so tight as a group.

Math rock as a genre is pretty old. Tho most of what was the entries in my library under that grouping are instrumental.
Don Caballero was huge in certain circles. Saw them live. Pretty sure he drank an entire pitcher of gin an tonic during the set.

i knew a jazz pianist that would mix a quart of vodka and a quart of orange juice and drink it every night he had a gig. He developed stomach problems and his doctor told him he had to cut out the orange juice as it was too acidic. Wild.
speaking of jazz.

Per their wiki
>In 1995 the band released its second LP Don Caballero 2. The liner notes of the album's promotional CD stated that "Don Caballero is rock not jazz. Don Caballero is free of solos."

The criminally underrated Welshman metal band called Budgie from the late 60's and early 70's era.

A cover of one of their songs by Metallica ~25 years later.

Budgie again from the late 60's with dat fucking bass line son.

They didn't quite have the charisma of Black Sabbath, so they were forever in their shadow.

Was looking for a different cover of this song and stumbled upon this. Sounds absolutely insane on my audio setup.
