What should I play? Summer 2018 edition

I need a new game. Can be PC or XBone. Prefer PC but either is fine.

I figure I'll list some games I've spent significant time playing and hopefully get some feedback. I can revisit these games or ideally find something new:

Destiny 2 - Xbox
Monster Hunter World - Xbox

XCom 2 - PC
Path of Exile - PC
Hearthstone - PC
Civ 5 - PC

Anything really good that has come out in the past 2-3 years I may have missed completely and should play?

Depends. What have you played? Octopath Traveler is out next month. Persona 5 was fantastic if you're looking for something a bit different.

I'm going on a Dark Souls bonanza this summer after Octopath.

Not really. It's more like uh, idk Devil May Cry I guess. More action oriented and less farming than MHW. I think the demo let's you get a good feel for it, if that's still available.

No. Some people love Nier for the story and the replay but it's more JRPGish ARPG. It's good for what it is but it's not like MHW.

I got it based on some opinions here but I would give it a 6-7/10. Playable but way down on my backlog list.

Buy it now if you want to grab the sale price, but playing it now is a huge mistake when the definitive edition is due out at the end of August.

Out of all the titles in this thread, GTA V is pretty much the only one I haven't played and that does somewhat interest me. Is it actually a good game?

GTA V is worth playing just for how fucking demented and weird Trevor is.
