Thinking of getting rid of my charger and getting a F-250, anyone ever own one?
An old one. A 2000 model which I will nevet get rid of. Back before the EPA mandates on diesel and it got 21mpg and 19mpg pulling a heavy travel trailer. Two guys I work with got one the same time in 2000 and they still drive them everyday. Oneboughta 2014 and paid right at $50k for it. He drove it like 5 times and announced he hated it so it sits at home now. The owners son has a 2014 and he likes it, only rode in his a few times.

Saw a Honda Crosstour in a parking lot and it looked sweet, but since I've had a 38+mpg car I don't think I can go back. Plus in retrospect, the windows were small.
No pictures I've found on the internet does it justice.

They do look great and the inside of the new accords is better than lux brands of 5 years ago-- they do look best in motion and in person- but apparently are not selling all that well due to, price and MPG all things considering. What I find odd is the Acura version is not really an Acura version- its a completely different car and platform.

True, wasn't the Honda first? Yeah but the prius proved that aztek like visibility matters not.
Honestly, no idea. I always assumed the X6 was first. Especially since BMW straight came out that it was designed and marketed solely for rich white women in Orange County.

They both started in 2009, as far as model year. No idea which one was unveiled first, though.

Yeah they are deff meant for the "I can't be seen driving a SUV!" so they give you a raised hatchback.

I saw crosstours a while before I saw the x's at the dealer I drive by everyday... wow didn't know they each where 09.

I recently got my 15 year old Honda Insight out of storage, and it looks almost as shiny still as this new pic. I just need to polish the headlights some to make em clear again.

15 years, and I just got around to swapping out the hybrid batteries tonight. 1000 bolts/screws later, and its actually got 40% more charge capacity/power than it did stock. Does that make me a car jock or a geek? :p

But yeah it's nice getting 60-80MPG again.

I love the FX's or whatever Q-number they call them now... I wonder if they will merge it with the 2015 murano or keep it its own thing

Certainly a unique looking car and a bit ahead of it's time. But, these days, hybrids just aren't cutting it when you can get a diesel for 1/3 less cost up front and it'll get 50-70mpg on the highway, while not driving a car that is catastrophically embarrassing to be seen in. Europe is kicking ass with it's diesel tech and America just can't be bothered to pay attention. Shame.

Well, a big difference seems to be, the people "concerned" about the environment in the u.s. tend to be urban city dwellers, where as in europe, it seems that the more concerned "natural" you are, the further out from the cities you'll live. In the u.s. people that live in rural areas are much more concerned about towing capacity (for their boats or rv's), and less about polllution.

Diesel is going to explode next year in NA. Dodge added a v6 diesel to its line up on the new ram and jeep and it is selling like hot cakes, other MFG's are going to follow suite. Europe is still way ahead, but looks like NA is starting to take note.

Ford and or GM made a complete fail of a diesel back in the day and no one can get over it- and the regulations to keep black smoke machines from existing are somehow keeping better than-gas MPG and pollution diesels from crossing the pond- so each diesel over here has to be ground up build or modded... but I think that is changing its been a few years since I looked... I would love the diesel new grand Cherokee...such a nice suv

A real diesel will not produce any smoke. Black smoke is unburnt fuel. Unless you are flooring it or tune out your car/truck to do it on purpose. I have the cummins 6.7 with EFI Live. I have tow tunes, economy tune, performance tune, and douchebag tune. Other than douchebage tune none will smoke except performance and that's only if I instantly floor it from an idle. I get about 24-26mpg when not towing. Diesel is far more efficient and it's not as flammable.

Agree 100%, and using this time not making car payments to save up for when it happens! =D

It still handles solidly and 'new-like' after all these years, it's one solid aluminum frame. I don't know how else to explain it, it's like a go-kart, you move the wheel 1mm and it instantly starts to turn, compared to other older cars I've driven which are just...loose.

How long did the original batteries last and what can you expect on the new ones? Is there a cost to disposing of the old ones? When you add up the cost of all of those batteries, what do you think it would cost to a similarly equipped VW Golf of the time?

Went on a bike trip, borrowed my dad's truck/trailer to haul the bikes own, left my car with dad (2010 535xi Touring), he somehow managed to hit a pothole hard enough to crack one of the rims in two places and wreck the tire, in the process of getting that fixed he lost the key for the car that I gave him, and the tire shop he initially took it to lost the wheel lock nut so he had to order a new one. Thankfully I still have the 18's that came with the car (when my broboughtit from the original owner, he put cheap but good looking 19's on it), so he got those put on the car while he gets the rim fixed and tries to find a new tire (and of course every tire shop will try to insist on him buying 4 new tires since it's AWD).

On the upside, he loaned me his 2011 911 4S while he was getting his shit together (which he has also managed to lose one of the keys for). So that was okay! But seriously, if he doesn't find my key I'm going to be pissed, because that's just a massive pain in the ass and probably $500 to rectify. And to think I was all paranoid about him losing his mind that a rock cracked the wind shield in his precious truck.

Old people man!
