Curious what a decade old car like that went for? Still kinda want another Gold R, had a 2008. But anything recent VW I worry about issues, hell my 08 had them./Yesterday I bought a 2016 SQ5.
A slight upgrade from mny 270,000 klm Mk5 GTi Wolfsburg Edition.
65,000 miles (110,000 klm) - dead stock, smells new, and goes like a bat out of hell.
Nice little upgrade for 'the work truck'

My $146,000 2025 Audi has some very annoying rattles and buzzes that aren’t fixed yet. I’m pretty damn disappointed.Curious what a decade old car like that went for? Still kinda want another Gold R, had a 2008. But anything recent VW I worry about issues, hell my 08 had them./
Ditto on my first jag. Funny how many issues there is on even the nicest brands. Funny in a few years I could go see going either way with a common brand commuter car, or rolling the dice again on something upmarket. Miss having something reliable that I also just dont give a fuck and have to fret over.My $146,000 2025 Audi has some very annoying rattles and buzzes that aren’t fixed yet. I’d rather not do that, but around here a nice pickup truck fits that bill. Quite a few options are very well appointed and comfortable. You can just jump in and go and not worry as much.Ditto on my first jag. Funny how many issues there is on even the nicest brands. Even then, only 1 choice unless you lease. Big 3 have giant reliability problems right now. Tundra is the only one that won't explode on you 4 miles after delivery. Well, they used to, but Toyota fixed the problem.I’d rather not do that, but around here a nice pickup truck fits that bill. Quite a few options are very well appointed and comfortable. I’d rather have a 4 door car, but fewer choices these days.
Low $20k - I looked for about 4 weeks to get an idea of the market and they were all between $20-30k with that sort of mileage and age.Curious what a decade old car like that went for? Still kinda want another Gold R, had a 2008. But anything recent VW I worry about issues, hell my 08 had them./
Normally I’d agree, but I bought the wagon outright because it’s rare and the next generation looks bad and it’s about a 90% chance it’s going to be EV or hybrid, both of which I dislike. I also didn’t want mileage limitations. It’s a good road trip car.Even then, only 1 choice unless you lease. Big 3 have giant reliability problems right now. I was referring to trucks. I'd only lease a truck from big 3. Not buy.
