Booster with backs for 3-5ish (depending on state law) then you can do just booster (base) if- as Cad said the shoulder strap is properly positioned- or none, again, if the strap is correct.

Mostly work car but I'm driving it back from SoCal to Dallas so we will see how she does on trips.
It has a 265 mile range at full charge, if thats your question.

The superchargers are like every 90-100 miles, so it's just a question of how often I'll have to stop and whether it makes sense to charge more and skip a stop, or charge less and stop more often. It's a gigantic lithium ion battery pack so, just like a cell phone it charges very quickly at first when the pack is low charge (140Kw) and tapers off as you go over 75%. So I've read it makes sense on long trips to run it down to like 10%, charge to 50% (which takes <20mins) then blast to the next one and repeat, rather than taking an hour to charge to full and trying to skip stops.
Either way, around town I'll charge at home every night and any conceivable trip I could take around town will be fine. On road trips you need to plan superchargers. Also they're building a supercharger at walnut hill & 75, so that'll be convenient if I need it...

I really like the CTS-V but it's outta my price range, I did have one rev on the 86 the other night and it definitely wasn't stock.

For any who remember or care my new car shopping got put on hold for stupid reasons but is about to get back to SRS BZNS mode. Officially considering a CTS-V.
In my day (mid-late 90's to 2003-ish) it was either 35 & Royal, or Inwood & Forest ("Monkey Business") at that antique mall. For motorcycles it was meet at the Whataburger west of 35 on Walnut Hill, then we'd cruise to whatever industrial park for an hour of wheelies and racing with chicks in bikinis on back until the cops showed up. Good times.

Looking to get a 2017 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali with the 6.6 Diesel since we are buying a 27 foot camper and will need to tow it. Coming from a car and going to this new truck, what are some of the typical running costs / rough prices on stuff like oil changes etc. associated with owning a diesel?
I am used to a Chrysler 300SRT8 for gas usage and oil change costing me $120ish and my wife has a Yukon So i am familiar with those costs also, So just looking at getting some info.

Oil changes are going to be expensive as shit in comparison to having a car, even if you do them yourself expect to spend a a lot (Like 100+ if you do it yourself). If you were spending that much before then it shouldn't be bad for you, but I spend in the neighborhood of 20 bucks and anything more than that is highway robbery.

that motor has like a 10 quart oil capacity so factor that in your oil change cost. I have a f250 6.0 diesel and my oil changes are about 90ish (if i remember right) bucks at the local quick oil change place, not sure how much at the dealer. But mine takes 15qts.
This ford diesel has been rock solid i use it mainly to tow a 28 ft toy hauler and my other toys and the only running costs ive had was cleaning the turbo out when it sat for a while and normal shit like brakes etc. Obviously you are used to higher fuel costs so your running costs wont really change much at all.

Heading to the dyno today, I will post up some underwhelming numbers later.
I had to install some Supra injectors since my math showed mine at higher than a 90% duty cycle for what I was expecting to put down. I'm really not happy with the hack job I did, I'm going to have to pull the entire prototype engine harness and re-create it. I had planned on doing this already but wanted to wait until winter.

I think worrying about cross country trips is sort of silly in your electric car calculation unless you actually do that often. Probably 95% of most people's driving is within 100 miles of home and if you really do want to go on the all american road trip, it's not that big a deal to just rent a gas vehicle for a week so you don't have to plan your trip around finding chargers.
