Needed something for hauling. Got a F350 extended cab with an 8’ bed. First time today I got a load of 50 sheets of drywall in the bed of my truck and shut the tailgate. I think I could pull a house off its foundation with this thing. It is new 2025 stock, and I got it for just under $50k brand new. Ford has employee pricing right now and they’re trying desperately to get rid of old new stock. It’s awesome to drive, though 13 mpg sucks the balls of donkeys.
What is that, half price?

Well, at least the engine is plenty cooled. For a minute. I do not miss doing oil changes. The last one I did, while under the car my cell phone slipped out of my pocket, fell 0.5 inches and somehow found a sharp, diamond hardness pebble in the driveway and spidered my screen lol. Then, when showing my kids how badass and fast the Green Machine(tm) was, my new phone fell out, dropped 0.5 inches and I think found the same pebble, screen protector be damned.

Yeah I don't know how you get it down to $50k. I just got a '26 cab and chassis and the only upgrades were the 7.3l v8 and a crew cab and it came to $61k. Then spent another $2k on a grill guard and $22k on a hydraulic bale bed. I wouldn't have thought $50k was possible but I have no doubt that $100k is.

Ford employee pricing, deductions, the fact that it's more than a year old and had been sitting on the lot, a close relationship with the dealership owner, and the ability to pay cash all contributed toward this purchase. The original MSRP was $62K. It was listed on the lot now for $52K. I talked him down $4K. Boom. Dirk the negotiator.

There are some rare times where you can get a fair price from the dealer (when you hardly take a hit when driving it off the lot).

Seen some prices like that in similar circumstances, where the cars were the previous year model, it was at high volume dealer, and the car buying season had just ended. They were all base model plain jane silver cars, if I remember correctly.

Nice purchase. What engine does it have? Every time I need a pickup I try to buy a used one with under 50k miles and all the used ones I can find cost as much as ordering a new bare bones model from the factory.

Who gives a fuck what you or anyone else thinks.

If you don't mod your jeep you're either poor or stupid. Unfortunately a lot of fat lesbians own jeeps. Probably the most vocal proponents of not modding them because they're dumb fat and lazy.

Lol.

I literally care so little about money I gave away $1000 here during covid in a dumb raffle. I’m many things, poor isn’t one of them

Anyway, “modding your Jeep” isn’t adding dumb angry eyes.

Owning a Wrangler is dumb in the first place. They drive like a 1920s farm tractor and cost double what they should. And WTF is with the gay fucking ducks now?

The duck thing makes no sense. It seemed to come out of nowhere a few years ago, and it’s all part of the angry eyes crowd, obviously.

My mom had one when I was a little kid. A few years ago, she saw one just like her old one, and got all wistful about it. Then I showed her a pic of the interior, and her actual memories of it returned. "Oh god, that thing was such a piece of shit!" And it was. Engine blew a few years after they got it. Oh yeah, the ass end of it rusted out and had that aluminum diamond plate crap put over it.

Anyone who grew up in one and sees that diamond plate will wince in dread.

7.3L 8 cylinder. I can pretty much pull a house off the foundation if I want to. The price of gas sucks badly.

I really like that engine. We have 2 of them and they're much better trailer pullers than the 6.3 or the V-10 was. Probably the 10 speed tranny has something to do with it as well. They do like gas though.

This owner has a small obsession with the NSX.

So much so that Honda Japan recognized their super-fandom and built them a brand new NA-2 Type R model out of old spare parts in 2022.

Speaking of the NSX, when I went to Matson back in late May to ship our vehicles from Hawaii to Long Beach, California, this was the car that was dropped off moments before we arrived. He was sending it out to get listed in an auction. He said everything is original, and it should easily clear 6-figures.
