A classic from my childhood. My first introduction to the EQ universe and Diablo style games.

Champions of Norrath and Champions: Return to Arms.
These games blew my mind on PS2. They also had online PvP, Co-op and the ability to transfer your build from the first title to the sequel.

Remake question.. Nothing?

I think Metroid:zero mission is the ONLY remake that does the original justice really. Oblivion remaster was ok. But Im wholly unimpressed with remakes.

do I trust anyone to actually remake any game and do it justice? capturing the feel, and design concepts? no.

I was just about to come post what Caliane Caliane said above. I'd love to see all of the listed ones remade, but I don't trust any of the current studios to remake them faithfully; they will put their mark on it, and that mark will make it worse.

How about, stay with me, they make new and better games than they have the last 10 years?

Id love to see Myth: The Fallen Lords and its sequel Soulblighter remade along with Bullfrogs Dungeon Keeper. Also we need a new MDK and Sacrifice remake too

Online myth 2 was insane, still remember the giant trow unit rolling up and tanking my fireball meant for a group of ghouls. Hadn’t thought about that angle and got my ass handed to me. CASUALTY!

A reboot or remake of the single player Phantasy Stars would be great like someone has already said, but honestly I dont trust really any company these days to not completely destroy a classic IP with garbage.

A remake of Hectic or Hexen would be great.

Any of the Gargoyle Quest games would be great, but I have little faith in Capcom these days. They're sitting on so many titles they could bring back.

There is kind of a bunch of those already, the hexen types I mean.

Problem being they aren't very good. Check out Witchfire which nails the vibe while having good gunplay(especially if you think Destiny shooting is top tier)

EQ would be my obvious choice. But I'd love Anarchy Online to be remade. Game was just flat out baller. City of Heroes would be another.

I mean Vanilla through Wrath would be the holy grail of remake but I also don’t want to get a divorce, lose my job, alienate my kids, and scream at people for not moving out of fire on discord.

Lunar as a complete "Playable Anime" - the remake that just came out was nice, but was still just a HD upgrade - I think tech is up to the challenge now where it can look and "be" an anime that is playable and they completely make the entire core origonal story - and somehow include the four heroes (Mel, Ghalion Dyne etc.) asventure with the black dragon - place it maybe as an aside between silver star and eternal blue - also just truly complete the narrative and story with the "Good, good, good...good ending" of eternal blue


Illusions of Gia redone in a "Souls like" atmosphere, gritty and real, but keep the cast young - it is a powerful story and could use a nice fresh presentation that leans in on some of the best parts of it while keeping it a sweeping adventure game.
