Things that rustle my jimmies: the assumption that no one is actually away from their email

I log in a couple times a day. The rest of the time I am logged the fuck out. Doctors, firefighters, and drug dealers are on call. Fuck that right in its ear

Yes but you do it every day. You are never actually away from your email. No need for a fucking auto reply to let me know your response time will be exactly the same as it always is.

Oh I'm not defending auto reply. But yes I am away from my email. Every time I'm not logged in.

My objection is based on the fucking assholes who think responding a day or two after the email is sent is somehow "late".

Went to the doctor for a shoulder problem. They did an X-ray and said it was fine. They gave me a list of physical therapy exercises to do. He also gave me an order for an MRI to get in case the physical therapy didn’t work. That way i wouldn’t have to come in for an extra visit for him to just say, go get an MRI. I end up booking the MRI, but they call me the day before to say insurance denied it because I didn’t get a post physical therapy follow with the doctor. So now I have to waste more time and money just to have the doctor say “yep, go get the MRI”.
Follow up to this. I went back to the doctor for my follow up. He gave me a cortisone shot and ordered another MRI. I got a call already from the scheduler and she said my health insurance already denied it. Apparently, the stretching the doctor had me do doesn't count, but the cortisone shot does. So, according to the insurance I now have to wait 6 weeks from the day of the shot, go have ANOTHER follow-up with the doctor to confirm it didn't work, then I can get the MRI. No wonder the United CEO got capped. United sucks.

Keyboard on my laptop, the function keys (F1-F12) do double duty for other things like muting the mic, changing brightness, etc. The problem is, to use the F keys, you have to hit the function button at the same time instead of the other way round. Fuck that shit, I use F5 refresh more than all the other options combined. There's one F key with nothing else tied to it and it's F9. What the fuck does F9 even do? I need F4 and F5 to be easy to access. F9 might be the key you use to bring up the boot settings. OK fine so I need 3 of them.

Another one. Auto reply out of office emails. Look, nobody gives a flying fuck that you aren't currently chained to your desk. Especially when you're the 10th CC on an email going out to a huge list. No one is ever actually away from their email anymore. At least those auto replies have gotten smart enough to only send the message once.
Maximum Jimmies rustling.

Faggot lazy fucks who normally take a week or longer to respond to any email so why bother putting up an out of office just because they are on vacation for a week are fucking scum of the earth and need to be shot.

If your job is so inconsequential that you can get away with not using an out of office and nobody minds you taking hours/days to get back to them means you work a bullshit make-work job that shouldn't exist and you need to be dragged off to work in the fucking mines.

Youre ridiculous. If you want an answer right now, call. Period. Email is the second slowest expected response. Here they are in order of quickest response to slowest.

You have no right to expect a fast response if you email someone.

Go to their office would be #1 if you're at the same location.

Are you kidding me...... SAMS club AC unit order.... shipped from Tulsa, next door to where I live, and now sent to fucking Texas wtf. And in typical Fedex retard fashion they think it arrives today via an update email. Every fucking time some seller forces fedex it's a clown show. What's even dumber.... no local pickup was allowed

This is the Council approved sequence and protocol. To add some for my personal implementation

  1. Call - Immediate, and had better be something pressing enough to warrant immediate conversation.
  2. Text - Expect a 2-10 minute response time. (unless your content is deemed unworthy.)
  3. Instant Messaging (Teams/Slack) - Expect a 10-30 minute response. (unless your content is deemed unworthy)
  4. Voicemail? Is this fucking 2005? Are you leaving me a voicemail from fucking 2005? Use text like an evolved human.
  5. E-mail - probably response within 24-48 hours (unless your content is deemed unworthy)
  6. Snail mail? Are you sending me a physical item I requested? If not.. See my response to voicemail, but change the year to 1995.

I had a fedex package attempt delivery while I was at work twice, at like 10am and needed a signature. After the 2nd attempt it was immediate returned to sender and not available at any facility. Still have no clue what it was.

First off, if I even suspect someone of incompetence such that they can't reply to an email, I will immediately follow up with a phone call to state "hey retard, I just sent you an email its important".

I work in government so a good 80-90% of the people I am interacting with fall into that category of incompetence. They are either doing fake make-work jobs, Jewish daycare, or cush ass post retirement hook up jobs where they do nothing and get paid for it, you know, graft and fraud.

2nd, I work in government, so we can't use phones. Not even allowed on government phones to discuss anything CUI or higher(which in defense is literally everything), so even if I wanted to I can't call you to talk about anything, can just say "hey retard do your job and answer that email"

Hope your job isnt dealing with anything of consequence if they let you use phones. China hacked the entire us telecom backbone and are listening to everything you say on a cell phone. I mean the NSA had been doing it for 20 years but China is also now doing it

So you can't use phones and you call them immediately. Either you're admitting to breaking the rules, are a retard, or both.

I'm going to say retard is most of it since you couldn't figure out that you can skip a step if it is unavailable.
