Plot: A group of misfit high school students stumble upon an ancient Aztec death whistle. They find that when they blow the whistle, the terrifying sound it emits will invoke their future deaths to hunt them down. Yeah, that was my first thought, but looks like monster Aztecs people come after you, and their probably 4ft tall and look like some who mows lawns.

Anyone seen it? Just looking for a quick take on if it's any better than the recent Final Destination (low bar)

Looks like shlock even by Final Destination standards, but maybe on par with a few of them.

I'm about 30 minutes in and have nothing positive to say about it. Will probably finish it b/c just doing spreadsheets on the other monitor, but honestly the MS Project and Smartsheet work is more interesting than what is happening in this movie.

It became only slightly more interesting through the end. Some of the deaths were like "oh" but overall as a movie it was pretty crap.

Yeah, really nothing I can say about this movie that Intrinsic Intrinsic didn't already say. I wasn't doing spreadsheets but I should have been. Would have kept me entertained.

Actually a guy dies pretty late in the film ground up by invisible shredder thing… one of the more interesting deaths in the movie.

Is there actually anything about Aztec Indians or Mayans or little bloodthirsty, human sacrifice, midget people from South America in the movie?

Unfortunately, no. No Pygmy's. It's just supernatural manifestations of the person's death. Which is, you know, tied to the curse of the whistle.
