Yeah, I'm not sad about this one. Dude has been a shitty person for a long time.
And if we're being honest, he made like 5 or 6 really good movies, in a span of under a decade, and then didn't really do shit anyone cares about after that. And that was almost 40 years ago.

It’s amazing how much of the general public relish celebrities and Hollywood types as intelligent and well mannered. And they mostly are not.

No. I'm saying that when you stare into the void too long it stares back. There was something that bothered me about the left gleeful celebration of Kirks murder. We can all agree that sometimes death is deserved. And we can celebrate the deaths of the tyrants and brutes of history.
Reiner isn't that fucking guy. Whether or not he was a shitty guy is irrelevant.
My comment about being careful wasn't about legal or workplace consequences. But about personal ones. I intend to keep what's left of my humanity intact, when possible
