aside, my grandfather got cancer and just was too stubborn to die, and was recovering was talking about taking a trip after getting his strength back with my grandmother, he had been in the hospital/rehab for about 8 months. my grandmother, went in for a hip surgery, got the flu and died ~2 weeks after the surgery while in the rehab facility..grandfather just died inside, was gone 2 weeks to the day she died. and all the 2 would do is bicker for YEARS.
my dad got cancer-colon, got the treatment and then got sick. the chemo triggered SOMETHING in his auto-immune system and no-one could figure it out until the very end,. 18 MONTHS in the hospital/care facility-as he got weaker and weaker - he got sick right when covid hit..~17 moths in he had an episode with his heart and ended up at mass general in boston, my sisters- 2 are Nurse practitioners found this weird ass disease -neurologic immune thing- that has like 1 in 10 million peeps get,. and his symptoms were very similar, and the doc who was #1 in the country knowing about it was at mass general in boston,,my sisters asked if they would run the test...they did. it was that disease, they started him on the treatment (a blood plasma treatment) and after 6 months of being essentially comatose 24/7, he started moving and interacting again and it didn't hurt for him to move. 4 days later he was dead, he got so weak his heart could not handle the rehab he had just started doing for the first time in 6-8 months.
