An Oklahoma legend died today. Gary England was the meteorologist responsible for interrupting prime time programming to warn of severe weather activity for my entire life until I moved to Texas; and the week I moved he was the one that reported about the May 19th 2013 tornado that came within a half a block of flattening my house. He probably saved thousands of lives with his tornado warnings alone. In Tornado Alley he was an A list celebrity and probably never payed for his own food at a restaurant. RIP and absolute fucking baller.

Still remember as a little boy watching my father and uncles getting drunk and singing Beach Boys songs. Those are damned good memories of the whole family having fun together, and probably why I still listen to the BBs to this day.
RIP Brian Wilson

Figured the guys in Nitzer Ebb would've been way older.

Dudes in Ministry are all mid-60's. Even Trent Reznor is 60.

I saw Ministry in 2022. Al still put on a good show and his voice wasn’t bad at all. It’s kinda hard to believe Al is only 6 years older than Trent.

They all feel like they’ve been around forever, you just forget how young they were when they started.

One of the best episodes in the entire franchise buried amid the pile of mediocrity that was Deep Space Nine's first couple seasons.

One of the best episodes in the entire franchise buried amid the pile of mediocrity that was Deep Space Nine's first couple seasons.

It's thirty years later and I don't think it's possible to have a character that is a self-described terrorist and not royally fuck it up by making them always right or always wrong or inject oodles of current year politics in to everything so it's just obviously an allegory for <insert group here>. She even has a full arc where by the end she's using her entire bag of tricks to aid men she despised (Garak and Dumar both) to liberate Cardassia of all places.

That her mirror universe counterpart was 100% rule 63 Gul Dukat was so fucked up it's hard to even put in to words.

She must have been a later era food network star; from a glance I am pretty sure I wouldn't have liked her food. Either way, never happy when someone dies =/

she seemed ok, mostly saw her cook basic stuff. guess she got fired the end of last year or something from worse cooks show. never watched it, recently just saw her as a judge on beat bobby flay, where she was mostly funny. better than most they have on there.
