Haha yeah I was waiting for that - but when the boogeyman just jumped out of the window my wife and I were laughing our ass off. "WAIT - You're not supposed to do that in every other horror show you are to kill everyone inside while the person outside screams in horror and doesn't run away only to get killed by the stupidity of standing there"

Just watched all the episodes this week. Pretty great show. Rhys is amazing and the actress playing Patricia is great too. And obviously Stephen Root is one of the TV show GOATs.

The Bogeyman episode was probably my favorite so far. That actress just plays scared and frustrated at the same time so well when she's looking down the street and he's just mozying along and she's mad he's not faster. Tazing that bitch and saying "She fucking sucks, okay?" And the shotgun to the head montage. Absolutely amazing.

Rhy's expressions are great, I absolutely hate his fucking kid. I don't know if it's the actor or how it's written, but that kid should be fucking scraping barnacles in the harbor if I were his father. Jesus.

The lineage scene was pretty great too. Classic Patty from My Name Is Earl. Glad she's getting more work.

At the beginning I wasn't sure if it was going to be real or not. Like coincidental shit happening in patterns or actual evil shit, but now that it's evil I kind of hope we get full closure at the end. I don't know if this is a miniseries or tv show, but I'd really like it to just be a miniseries that wraps up. A lot of shows NEED to do that, but then get successful and end up floundering another 3 seasons until they're canceled before the story finishes.

Also this genre, Comedy/Horror is pretty rare for TV. I fail to think anything outside of MAYBE American Horror Story and stuff like Tales From The Crypt? I guess some Black Mirror episodes could qualify. I really like it. Kind of felt a little like Cabin in the Woods comes to TV.

Don't sleep on the Chucky TV show, and ofcourse Ash vs Evil Dead and WWDITS (though thats not really horror other then they are vampires). This is a unique one its very Twin Peaks in regards to its horror, its certainly the only show like this that I can think of. Its a shame Lynch isn't alive I think he would have had fun as a guest star in an episode or two.

I've watched What We Do In The Shadows which is more comedy than horror. It's like a comedy in a traditional horror setting IMO. I also watched Ash vs Evil Dead and I could see it being horror/comedy, but with Ash it's often so over the top it can't truly feel scary or tense.

Yea its why its hard to think of anyhitng like it. Comedy horror is so rooted in a goofball that scary shit is happening to that when I show goes a different route its like nothing else I can give a different show recc to lol.

Which obviously isnt serious but I love the humor lol, its so inline with the show. Keep in mind Apple rarely says their shows are renewed so it likely was much earlier but they are using the renewal in the marketing campaign for the last episode.

I lol'ed at her double tapping, and then holding the shotgun on the body while they load it into the cremation furnace. Now *there* is a woman who knows her horror movie tropes.

Honestly, felt a little disappointed in the finale. Not sure why, pretty much hit all the points. Kinda felt like it ended abruptly. Didn't see the twist coming at all, but I'm sure others did.

Ruth jogging up the stairs made me laugh pretty good. I love this show and liked the episode but it feels like they had a different ending in case it didn’t get renewed

Jumping on the 'this is good' bandwagon. It achieved what few shows do these days, we actually binged it. Started with the first three, then yesterday picked it back up and didn't stop.

The son was hard to watch, though, that's probably how a teenager on a remote island would act out.

Favorite episodes were probably the party and slasher / Jason homage.

They threw me off, I had the son pegged as a descendant earlier in the series. Thought I just called wrong during the initial reveal.

I didn't vibe with both the mayor and sheriff being so willing to off the elderly, but the greater good and what not.

So I guess 8 people need to be fed to the island next season?

Yea the strange tourism video in the hotel and the twin peaks history museum video make a lot more sense given what was found in the shelter. Im going to laugh if the island starts using tourists lol.
