Yeah I know you can respec but that DoT rapier was my crutch for enemies higher level than me (I suck at combat) so I would never not be using it. I could have just gotten unlucky too that I wasn't finding any ranged weapons that matched my spec. It was noticeable enough where I felt like something could be improved I guess. Perhaps being able to upgrade green to blue would ease the burden a bit.

Maybe that's how they intend it, for you to be respeccing your stats and talents throughout the game but I like to just choose something and stick with it, or at least try it for a good amount of time and then switch to another "permanent" setup.

Huh? Never found any ranged weapons that scaled off of Precision (which is what the Rapier of a Thousand Cuts scales off of)? Basically every single musket and pistol scales off of Precision - there's one musket that scales off of AGI, but the rest are all Precision based scaling.

Damage scaling in this game is pretty much shit anyways and doesn't really matter. Main stat and Mastery are all pretty garbage compared to just dumping everything in Endurance and Vitality. Getting an extra swing, having extra dodges, and being able to eat a bunch of hits is almost always better than the pitiful amount of damage main-stat adds to your weapons.

No I never found a blue precision musket until later on, the best stuff I had was AGI. Maybe just unlucky. I didn't realize the damage scaling was poor however and I was speccing pretty heavily into precision just assuming that it was working. Also the food you can craft .. I saw agi vit and end food but I don't believe I saw a single precision food. It just seems like the stats thing needs some work. Keep in mind I played maybe 25 hours tops, I'm not claiming to know the game in and out.

Precision food comes from corn-based foods. So you have to get to the foothills.

Friends and I still jump into our server between work schedules, etc. Still having a blast. Waiting to see what they add/change as it continues development.

I probably would broke down and tried this, but enough complaints about some of it being a little too simple samey or kinda some of the ship combat being a tad too simple. Or dunno, really I just hate doing early release on anything more because good chance I miss major improvements and content if I burn out on it before "release" (Lol tarkov)

I really have my reservations the new black flag will be any good or woke garbage in it, I already read they took the tits away. Played my friends copy, not sure why I never finished, I only really liked doing all the ship stuff. Think I had gotten pretty much maxed out but was having issues with a few of the mega bosses and further upgrades if any I was stuck on for some reason, dunno been too long.

Strange thing is, I swear in my old age and limited time, I'm just getting procrastination and almost anxiety launching into any games I know will be a long haul. Like looking excuses to play more bite size games rather than wading into Expedition 33 / Crimson Desert.

This is because I am not in there in Co-op.

I felt the same way until I realized this was because most everything released is trash. We get about 1-2 SOLID long term games every other year now it seems. So I am not hopping on bandwagon's until I know for sure it will be good. Expedition 33, Crimson Desert, Cyberpunk, Witcher 3, Elden Ring, KCD2, and a handful of others over the course of the last 11 years while hundreds of shit titles came out like Avowed, upcoming Woke as fuck Fable, anything obsidian makes now, Dragon Age Veilguard, all that shit is what stalls the hype now.

I got about 30 hours into it and enjoyed it but it definitely has room for improvement. If they keep developing it instead of taking the profits and running it could be one of the better games we've seen in a while. I'll just forget about it until it pops up on my radar again if it ever does. I did the same with enshrouded when it came out and I'm still keeping an eye on when they get to 1.0. I'll revisit it at that time, have a buddy who said it's been really improved since I played it a few years ago.
